What the hell is wrong with people?

Earlier today I was in a pub/restaurant with my mum and dad, with my two brothers, bank holiday Monday, the place is pretty busy, elderly people opposite enjoying a nice lunch, families with young children everywhere. A family come in with a young baby, no more then a few months old and order some drinks. About 20 minutes later, another bloke comes in and starts yelling at the family that were sitting at this table, in only a few seconds, this escalates with the later guy punching the 1st in the face, causing a pretty violent brawl to erupt. Tables and chairs are knocked over, staff and customers alike try to break the two apart. Eventually they are, and the bloke who started the fight was taken away and made to wait until the police arrived. People have problems with each other, that I understand, you can't like everyone you meet. But regardless of what this fight was over, what on earth is wrong with these people to start a fight in the middle of a family pub/restaurant, at 5:00 in the afternoon. There we're children not 3 or 4 feet away, one of which as I mentioned was only a few months, and elderly people, both of which could've been seriously injured. Luckily none were, admittedly after one women screaming "Take it outside, there are children here" It still raises the question...What the hell is wrong with people these days?

that's pretty nuts, could have been anything though maybe they knew each-other and the guy had his way with his wife or something.

From what my parents overhead after when they were outside having a quick cigarette, it was something to do with an ex, but that's pretty much all we could work out

Ever worked in retail? Enough stuff happens, especially in a Walmart, that will make your brain hurt trying to comprehend the actions/thought processes of some customers.

Maybe man-with-family had stolen the wife of man-who-angry and man-with-family had also killed man-who-angry's parents.

Never assume its trivial. And the old people probably loved it. They don't get up at 6 every morning to really do their gardens you know; they're out for blood.

I currently work in retail, we had someone come in once and threaten staff with a hammer, swinging it about
I work in Tesco in the UK if you were wondering

the point im trying to make, was not that they were fighting, but that were fighting in a family atmosphere in front of children, not attempt to get it away from the children

Well, yeah, but remember that everyone else didn't. You've got one or two people doing stuff like that, out of a pretty large crowd you don't remember cause they didn't do anything stupid.

Nothing has changed over the years, some humans just don't know how to behave civilised.

Its the same thing with youth who throw verbal abuse at the elderly for accidentally bumping into them, or playing loud music with swearing and violence when they know full well it is offensive to others and kids.

There isn't much we can do, these humans are stupid, stupid humans will always coexist with good humans.

Yup that would do it. I've had a lot of ex trouble myself...and I do have that one single person that I would just about kill on sight if I saw him again. Mind you I wouldn't be doing it in a restaurant.

That's just how I was brought up, I'm also the type to never hit first, but I do tend to goad people into doing that. But yeah risking innocents is not worth getting a piece of revenge, plus the damages to what was probably a nice restaurant.

Some people just have no shame, I guess. It is rather depressing when people have no thought for other people around them.

I don't see anything wrong with it, it sounds pretty fun, I would've lol'd if I was there. I was waiting for my bus once and I saw two homeless people fight, one was Scottish and the other was Pakistani, the Pakistani guy tried to dropkick the other, he missed completely, fell on his ass and walked off in shame. It was fucking hilarious.
