I see you are still waiting for your sense of humour to arrive huh...

Yes, it's in the mail as we speak.

See, I can be funny...right?

Pfft, what do they know? Friggin white coats get paid far too much to do nothing anyway.
[small]Oh wait. I forgot that you don't understand humour... nevermind.[/small]
For all I knew, you were serious. Some people do believe things like that, and if you were someone like that, I would have felt bad not responding. It's good to hear that you are joking.

It's acceptable to start drinking whenever you feel like it. Not everyone keeps the same schedule, so you can't put a time on having a bevvie - for instance very few people would say that having a drink after you've just clocked off your shift is a bad thing. But what if you work nights? Should you be denied an after-shift drink to unwind with your pals just because you finished work at 6am? NO. Drink whenever you want to fella, and if anyone picks you up on it, reply with: "Well, why are you in the pub then?"

I think it doesn't matter. It is just that you should not do that often. Hell, I have started my day with beer. Not that bad 'cause I don't do that often.

The idea of "acceptable drinking times" is rather foolish, in my opinion.
Just drink, if you want to.

On holiday/at festival: 11:00am

Work/school day: 5:00pm (unless you are out for an executive lunch/celebration, in which case an acceptable time to start can be as early as 1:30pm)

Done.

I follow the philosophy that only point in the concept of time is to make history easier to understand, give scientist a base for various measurements, and to help stay orginize. Therefore, as long as I don't have anything to do that would be preferable that I don't drink, smoke weed/hash, take pain pills, or take ritualistic drugs, it's fine to do so anytime I want.

It just makes me feel like less of an alcoholic if I have certain time requirements.
Sounds good in theory but I think there is an unnecessary stigma attached to drinking.

Say its your days off work, why cant you get up in the morning and get drunk? Really what makes it so much more acceptable to do it at night?

As for me I mostly work nights and so sometimes feel like a drink at 8 in the morning which usually by that time I have been awake for more than 18 hours.

I say drink when you want. If you dont have to be anywhere and you dont have to go work, get drunk by all means.
Sir, I like your attitude.

Beer breakfasts are one of my favourite things. My house mate does one almighty breakfast and its even better when he slaps down a cold one with it. Its all good providing its not done EVERY day.
