I think I'm part of a silent minority that just doesn't really care. Youtube still works fine for me, the Google+ style comments haven't really had any negative impact on my life in any way, I actually like the fact that they're threaded because it keeps them looking tidier (before I would often see about 20 people clogging up the comments all replying to one troll or conversely, one troll clogging up the comments by replying to everybody). I use Chrome, Google search, Gmail and Android because I like them. If they stop being good products, I will stop using them, it's not like there's no competition (and I'm sure that despite the reputation as a comic relief, Bing is a perfectly fine search engine).

Well, after adding this to the pile of other things that Youtube fucks up, I've come to the conclusion that they should be shot.

I say this with the utmost certainty because I know that for years they have not been able to do much that we can consider good and will not even admit to the absolute fact that they ever fuck up. It's like that scene in Serenity where the Operative tells the Alliance big-wig that in ancient times, men would fall on their own sword for screwing up so badly. Really, someone hand them the sword. I would honestly cheer seppuku right now. Yeah, I'm morbid, but some people earn this, dammit.

Way ahead of you on not going to YouTube.
It has been banned for more than a year now here.
In America, YouTube banns you, in Pakistan you ban YouTube.
On a serious Blip.tv and Vimeo are really good alternatives. I think their base video quality is higher and in both cases you are spared idiotic comments on videos as they are optional to view.
Also, considering a more specialized crowd uses them the community is much better.
