So I've managed to knock down my stack of unfinished games a bit, in between raiding in WoW, playing Titanfall and a few odds and ends - including beating Reaper of Souls at least once (was good) and Splinter Cell: Blacklist (was very excellent). This is what the the list of games I haven't beaten yet stands at now:

FFXIII: Lightning Returns (Xbox 360)
Metro: Last Light (PC)
Sleeping Dogs (PC)
Assassin's Creed III (Xbox 360)
The Witcher 2 (PC)

So, which one should I tackle first?

I can heartily recommend Metro: Last Light, because I played it and loved it. It's dark and unnerving, has great combat and interesting environments and the music isn't bad either.

Have you started playing all these games? Then surely you can decide for yourself which game interests you the most so far?

If you're worried that a game that you've started and like so far will end up disappointing, then what I can tell you from my own experience is that both The Witcher 2 and Metro Last Light maintain more or less consistent quality from beginning to end, and provide satisfying endings.

The Witcher 2
Assassin's Creed 3 (ignore the sofa making and get on with the main story)
Other's I can't comment on, Metro Last Light is sat in my steam library but I've no inclination to play it.

If you've got 3 for PC and 2 for 360 I find it best to alternate, so do PC, 360, PC, 360, PC.
Also you don't want to have similar-ish games together, so the two sandboxes (AC and SD) should be apart, and the two RPG-y games shouldn't be together (FF and Witcher) so this is my definitive order:
The Witcher 2.
Assassin's Creed
Metro: Last Light
Final Fantasy
Sleeping Dogs.
You need to plan this stuff, it's an art form all by itself.

I personally really enjoyed Sleeping dogs. It is quite a fun game to play, and it shouldn't take too long to finish the main story line if time is an issue. I have never played Metro: Last light but I have heard good things about it.

Personally out of those (I haven't played FF) I by far enjoyed the Witcher 2 most, completed it twice.

Sleeping Dogs I enjoyed too, finished it easily.

I played Metro:LL a bit, mostly to test my new GPU, but never got into it much. I meant to play it after I finished the first one but can never make myself do it.

AC3 I found sucks all the dicks, played for a while and uninstalled it, It's hartbreaking a game that has such a stunningly beautiful sandbox is so bad.

I started playing a couple of them.

The Witcher 2 I got back when it was on sale a couple of years ago. I started playing it, but had to re-install Steam, so my save game got nuked (this was before the Steam Cloud) and I haven't started again.

In ACIII I don't remember exactly where I am......but I do remember getting the first Power Cell thingy in the real world.

I got Metro: Last Light and Sleeping Dogs last Steam Summer Sale. I played and loved the original Metro on the 360, but haven't gotten around to LL yet.

I started Lightning Returns, but put it down to play Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

My suggestion: drop'em all (except maybe Witcher 2) and start a new list of games. :p

I say play Metro:Last Light, beat it, loop back to list-1. It really is not that long and it has that "one and done" feel so you can enjoy it and move on.
