Y'know what shouldn't have been canceled?

Firefly. Goddammit that show was good.

Almost everything on British TV:

"Hotter than your Daughter" - This actually exists. It actually fucking does exist.
"Friday Night with some arrogant fuck! wait, no that's Johnathon Ross."

Stuff like Bones as well, shows only kept alive by the awful sexual tension between the main characters.

Also, the newest couple of seasons of house, the ones without Forman and Cameron and chase - the new guys suck :D

In the first four episodes, we were greeted with coming back from the dead, being healed of your paralysis from a plane crash, a polar bear, and an unseen monster, as well as somebody seeing into the "eye" of the island. A rock. It was buttass weird but because it just focused on establishing character archetypes in the most shallow way possible, people didn't recognize that it was sci-fi.
The thing is, the show just seemed, pardon my words here, "magical". The island had mystical properties and seemed to be something that was mythological. I actually thought the island was actually the back of a giant leviathan(Which would've been cooler than whatever the hell they're doing now. Plus, they wouldn't be able to pull the special effects off.) The writers didn't want to do that, though. They wanted to constantly do the opposite of what the viewer was expecting and they did it so much, they wore the show down to a pile of cow shit. That's just my opinion, whatever.

What'd you think about the new episode, by the way?

Supernatural. Last ep of the current series had a proper, definitive ending. Nicely final...and then...BAM!!!! Silly cliff-hanger. Sigh...
I remember reading a while ago (between the third and fourth seasons) that they didn't intend to make anymore than five seasons. So there's a chance the episode was written before they decided that there was going to be a sixth season, which would explain the absolutely horrid cliffhanger.

Couldn't agree more though. They've done the Judeo-Christian apocalypse, what could they possibly follow that with? Ragnarok?... Actually, that'd be pretty awesome.

Yeah, I read that too. But I figure its just going to be the two of them running after each other and then trying to take down God. Gonna do a Preacher on it. That's the way I see it going.

I agree with everyone saying Family Guy: it just stopped being funny.

Also, Scrubs. It was easily one of my favorite shows for a while, and even though it hit its rough patches, I think it ended decently with the series finale. But when they resurrected it with a brand new main character, I could barely stand 10 minutes of it before I realized that it wasn't just "not the same", it was flat out terrible!

Most American shows become too convoluted and dragged out after a while, they don't know when to quit while on a high and instead insist upon dying a slow painful death.

I thought it was okay. (I'm assuming this is the jacob one, because that's the last I saw) Actually, I think it would have been a fine episode if it wasn't so close to the end.
IT EXPLAINED NOTHING. Still, only 3 more to the end, so I'm holding on to see if it pulls a save at the end. I'm naively hopeful...

I just read "Last of the Summer Wine" has been canceled. I never liked the show and it's taking up precious money from my PBS station. There are many other BBC shows to acquire then this boring sitcom.

So many people are pitching in to this Lost conversation! AWESOME! We might as well rename this thread: Lost is the Epitome of Poop: The Thread.

I honestly thought that was the worst episode I have ever seen. I'm not trying to sound like an angry internet nerd(I'm actually...uh...very attractive...and I...talk to girls....and stuff.) but that was seriously anus-bleedingly terrible. I dropped all my homework to watch it. At least the Kate episodes have that sexy Evangeline in them.

There's only 2 episodes left. Just needed to break the bad news.

lol I didn't think it was that bad! I was just looking so forward to it that nothing could have led up to my expectations. I mean, I will need to see the end of the season before I can judge it properly, but I don't see how it's any worse than most of the crap this season.

Actually, it could have been a lot better spread over multiple episodes. Instead they have to have Kate helping a retarded Claire get to the hospital in time. Or Ben maybe sort of helping one of his sexier students get into Yale. These are the plotlines they had to save for the final season.

And I still think season 5 and season 2 are some of the best seasons of television I've ever watched, for what it's worth.

Stargate Universe. After the greatness of Stargate SG-1 and the ok-ness of Stargate Atlantis, SGU has lost its way. Its a soup opera with the occasional Stargate. This needs to end.
Really? I love SGU, admittedly I've only seen the first series and first episode because I'm away from Sky + at uni but last I saw it was still good. It just means it's less action focused. I like to think it has much more tension and sensible characters, though I haven't especially bonded with any in particular yet. Also I like how it didn't have any defined baddies like the Gould or the Wraith.

Although I was always going to consider it lacking due to the absence of one Dr Rodney McKay, the greatest SG character ever.

Anyway, IMO, House is the main culprit. Unless they make him a dick again and start making more medicine based episodes I don't think it's going to work. Stop developing your characters you big dickweeds, that's not what I watch it for! I watch it because it means I can pretend I'm clever and know more stuff than real doctors!

No I didn't, I'm not just saying it, I really did stop when that idiotic clicking black cloud first showed up, that's when I realized the writers were high.
Oh...I see. I thought we could've discussed the shitness of last episode....together.

You see, most people say "Yo 'dis dumbass poo show is crap! It's wack!(Not actually what people really say)" They then continue to proceed watching the show, just like nothing happened.

Wow, the show must've really pissed you off to get you to stop watching during the second season.
My Dad and brother still watch it, so I know some basic concepts. I just know when to give up on a TV show.

Lol, time travel and alternate dimensions, wtf are they thinking?

I think Family Guy has really run its course, the writer's don't seem to be up to scratch anymore.

I also think the majority of "reality" television can go die in a hole, but I know that isn't about to happen.

Ah, I thought there were 18, but it seems the last is a two parter. Well, that counts well enough for three anyway. At any rate, you can't really say Kate episodes are better than that. Kate episodes are awful [http://twitpic.com/12bs52].
Anyway, there's really only one way [http://twitpic.com/1diy19] they can end this...
