What type of characters attract your persona?

Romantic and funny, but also sneaky and backstabbing. My kind of character.

I usually always go for the quick agile aand one shot one kill characters when I can. They just attract me, being the sneaky little b*****d that I am.

I'm about the same way. What's the point in playing a game if there's not a bit of deception going on? "I never really was on your side..."

Plus, I do always love the snappy dressers.

The odd weird dark gloomy brutal characters. I had the same reaction to that character you posted up.

I prefer the strategic or manipulative bastards in the story. Seriously, it's not enough that the character's smart, they have to use it in a manor which makes me go "Well, then. Wow."

I don't know if this counts, but I have a thing for good guys/girls gone bad. Darth Revan (as you might've already have guessed), Kerrigan, Silk Fox and soforth. I guess I find myself relating to those having gone through something similiar of a change. Or something. Who knows.

Also, the Goth/metalhead. Not many of those in gaming though, at least that I've come across. Might be more of 'em in japanese games, but I haven't played many of those.

the most brilliant character ever to grace fiction is Desmond Lockheart from fallout 3: point lookout, I always like that type of character.

the snide, inteligent guy with a gift for metaphors and a chequered past is always great (my story? kid, my storie's like a deathclaw's tongue. long, messy and something you don't want to get intimately involved with)

but, failing that, i'll always go with a "gordon Freeman" style character and not a dumb damage spunge like Marcus Fenix

It's a toss-up for me,really.
The one who seems to have realistic equipment,like that chick with the spear and shortsword in Soul Calibur IV.
The fast one,like Voldo,Raphael,or Yoshimitsu from Soul Calibur
Or the guy who can outrange EVERYONE ELSE,like Kilik from,oh,Soul Calibur.

Dante from Devil May Cry.

I love the whole "Gunslinger" thing- it's been done a lot less in gaming than it deserves. Any character that wears a big jacket and fires pistols/revolvers is grade A in my book. Also, NOT having spiky hair in a Japanese game makes me like a character much more.

The smugness and "rockstar" attitude are icing on the cake for me. I love how prickish he can be and how much fun he can have. That dude does what he wants, man.

I usually pick the characters that attack fast and are hard to hit.

Chipp Zanuff from Guilty Gear for example.

Mickey from ODST smart rescoureful and not afraid to get into the action
Mordecai(borderlands), Baird (gears of war), Tali, Mordin, and Garrus (mass effect1 and 2)

I'm not as... "crazy" as them in real life... i'm a much more chill version of them.... And I'm not a chill person. In fact i borderline bonkers on some days... AND I LIKE IT!!!

I have a thing for athletic acrobatics.

Characters like The Prince, Sonic, Ang, and Ezio, whose modus operandi involve agility, crazy maneuvers, and in some cases, stealth.

a character who has true pride (i beleive to attain true pride you must attain modesty and humility, if you havent but still beleive you have pride then I beleive you have arrogance wearing a mask)someone who doesnt care what others think of him/her, one who enjoys being themself.

I am always the fan of the stuck up bad asses. (Duke Nukem, Alex Armstrong) I also take a liking to the comic relief characters. Basically sarcastic, funny, but serious at points.

In terms of personality, the pessimistic, sarcastic, humourous asshole.

The Stealth character. Dark or in camouflage. Preferably with some kind of melee weapon and not a gun. I think its why I love assassins creed so much.

Depends on the game.
In Soul Calibur I like Zasalamel because he is quite philosphical and I can kick major ass as him (I mass murder as Vader).
In MechWarrior I usually favor the heavier mechs like the Daishi because the massive amount of firepower and armor means I can kill quickly and survive for extended periods of time.
In RPG's I tend to favor the dumb grunts warriors because, being and hornoable warrior, I prefer to fight you face to face rather than using cowardly bows or spells.
I Mount&Blade I graviate towards heavy cavalryman, usually with a lance, shield, and bastard sword. I also take javelins sometimes in case I need something to hit a fleeing foe.

So usually I tend to go for the slower, heavily armored, quick killing melee types, except in fighting games.
