Hello Escapists! I have returned from my not-so-eternal slumber in order to talk about something that's very close to my heart - Alcohol.
When you are drinking (or not if you're underage and/or boring more responsible), how does your behaviour change? If at all?

I differ on what I'm drinking spirits, I become an emotional teenage girl who shouldn't be allowed near pointy objects. Whereas, if I'm drinking something like... pear cider (the only pint measurement drink which screams to the world 'Beta male'.) I stay fairly similar, if a little self-centered and all positive.
And while we're here, drink of choice?

I don't think I change much. I do lose some of my supressions about talking to people, so if I'm tipsy, I will talk a LOT about things that interest me! I used to go drinking with a guy I knew, and we were both really passionate about science, and physics in particular. He remind me of a bit fatter and bearded version of myself. I miss the conversations I had with him.

It depends on how much I drink. Anything over 6 pints & I tend to become a miscreant and general public nuisance, and anything over 8 pints I tend to get too depressed to do anything.

10 pints+ I'm generally asleep :p

I get stupider, and I tend to laugh, cry and get angry a little too much and I the disconnect between my brain and my mouth only grows worse. All in all, alcohol is a pretty boring recreational drug. Compare it to say, when I smoke weed. I almost always go through a phase where I feel weightless and pretend I'm an astronaut.

Much more interesting that being a slightly more emotional twat with poor motor control.

Talkative at the lower end, and peaceful and quiet at the higher end from what I've been told. Though the reason I'm more talkative is less me becoming more talkative and more me just saying out loud what I generally just think to myself. My brain never shuts the fuck up :/

Drink of choice? Umm... Heubacher Pils are good... Guinness? Fuck if I know. There are soo many good ones XD

Happy, friendly, almost embarassingly so. When drunk i love everyone and everything and would likely hug my worst enemy should they find me in such a state, i can safely get drunk knowing the worst that will happen is people will think me a bit of a fool the next morning.

Whatever emotions I'm having while I'm drinking it, alcohol makes them stronger. Thing is, it also shortens my emotional memory to about ten minutes, and I'm a pretty easy going guy who usually drinks while doing something fun, so I spend, like, 99% of the time I'm drunk happy. Even when I'm not happy from drinking, I might get morose, but almost never angry, and I'm more likely to just get sleepy than anything else if I'm not enjoying it.

So I guess you could categorize me as a happy drunk who ascribes to the notion of "in vino veritas?"

I'm a punchy drunk, which is why I don't drink.

I remember I once got tipsy and it was all that I could do to not beat the snot out of my best friend and his girlfriend. Did they do anything to me? No, we were walking along a road and they were talking to each other and I was just raging, steam coming out of my ears, fist so tight I had white knuckles.

Never did anything though, I controlled myself.

A month or two later I had another drink, then maybe a few months after that another 1 and then I haven't since ... 5 and a half years later.

Beer clouds my head so I don't really drink it, otherwise I'll just be sitting around feeling rough. Spirits tend to make me a little melancholy if more talkative. Wine can fuck off. Other drinks tend to have an effect between beer and spirits.

I'm mostly mellow and a lot more social when drunk. As for favorite drink, I drink just about anything but beer. But I like whisky, rum mixes and mead the most.

I am very, very different when drunk. Usually I'm quiet, reserved and a touch shy, but when I'm drunk I'm the opposite. My rather dry sense of humour stays, except I'm a bit braver so I'll be a bit more cutting. As for my favoured drink? If I'm drinking to get drunk, rum. If I'm drinking to relax, ale, or maybe red wine.

I am a talkative drunk. While I am usually more quiet and reserved IRL, alcohol just throws that out of the window. Now if I am around people I do not know I just kind of sit there in a drunken stupor but if I know the people I am all over the place. I also allow myself to have pictures taken of me which I hate when sober.

As for my favorite alcohol, I am quite partial to Kraken rum at the moment. That stuff is addicting.

That stuff is wonderful, tad pricey though.
My favourite spirit used to be any sort of bourbon, mainly went for JD.

Haha - funny topic. I love everyone when I'm drunk. I hug EVERYONE, without exception. I never got people who get angry or unhappy when drunk. It just makes me gush with happiness.

Talkative, giggly, a lot more friendly and approachable. More daring and happy.
I'm pretty bad for drunk texting people which has caused a few problems. I don't anymore because I don't really text anyone at all now.

I fully intend on getting shashed on Saturday for the first time in a long while so I'm interested in what might happen.
