The standard noob, really.

Everyone they kill/defeat is a scrub and terrible player who should kill themselves.

Everyone who defeats them is a hacker/cheater.

Any method used to kill them is "cheap", only 'abused' by "bad players". They don't use these methods because they have, um, video game 'honour'.

They have the remarkable ability to play a game for ridiculous lengths of time without improving whatsoever or learning anything.

The people who place an over-importance on graphics, for one. Yes, graphic quality is an important part of a game, but saying that a game is pure garbage simply because of bad, old, or outdated graphics? Then there were the ones who will say that a game is too 'immature' because of cartoony graphics. Yet they will gladly play a game with 'realistic graphics that will be outdated in a year or two, where in the characters swear constantly, do idiotic and irresponsible things, and whine and moan half the time - real mature.

The second type are the ones who take gaming way too seriously. The ones who spend fortunes on gaming machines, spend hours a day playing, join gaming tournaments, and then proceed to loudly insult anyone who they beat. The worst part about it is that a lot of the insults tend to be misogynistic/homophobic.

Ones that don't think the actual gameplay is important compared to story and things. Read a book or watch a movie if you want story. Games need passable gameplay with very few exceptions.

Tourneyfags.
They suck all fun out of anything that can be played competitively.
I have a large number of groups I dislike, but the one i hate, and want gone... yeah
just play the game. I don't care about frame counts and animation cancels. I don't want to glitch through a wall and take potshots at people who can't shoot back. and I don't want you in my god damn hobby

Anyone who uses the word "e-sports". Gaming is not a sport. And this push to try to make "e-sports" a thing just strikes me as people desperate to point to it and say to their fathers "See, dad? It is a legitimate pastime!"
I see you're point but disagree with why people call it that, i follow e-sports and i could care less what my dad or anyone in the world thinks about it and maybe I'm crazy but i think the whole gaming is a sport thing would be less of a common thing to say if Poker wasn't on TSN / ESPN because that associates it with a sport and gaming is just as competitive as Poker so i guess marketers figured ' hey people like sports and people like games so lets call pro gaming an E-Sport!' So its less of us considering it a sport as opposed to us thinking its a really competitive and difficult past time in the same vein as sports (minus the athleticism)

Oops run on sentence.

First impression fags - I hate the gamers that play a game for like 10 minutes (i.e. a really short time) and then call it shit and never play it again, without even attempting to stick with it.
My roommate is like this i find it funny as opposed to annoying, the kicker his response is ' I'm a programmer i know exactly how this game will play out after the first 20 minutes so if im not immediately entertained i know i never will be' LOL

People who just skip the campaign on games and only do the multiplayer, I mean you bought a full price game and you are using only half of it. I mean I know one guy who bought Mass Effect 3 and week after launch date and still has not beaten the campaign because all he plays is the multiplayer, he even asked me how the game ended.

Extremely competitive gamers, the ones that have to win at all costs and that suck the fun out of the game for everyone else. they forget it's just a fucking game.

Any "gamer type" that reflects personality types and ideas that I dislike in any kind of person. For instance, elitism.

The "Shut up and take my money" types. No wonder we have weapon/map pack DLCs when these people go to official game forums and ask to be charged money for more stuff and encouraging every bit of new content to be sold as payed DLC. There were even some that insisted that Bioware should get money for the Extended Cut, when people discussed it as a possiblity before it was officially announced.

The type of gamer that makes threads like this, encouraging division and hate to spread in the community over crap as stupid as what type of games they enjoy playing or how they play said games.

Overly Serious Gamers. The ones who act as if winning in a multiplayer match is the one and only way to possibly have any fun, and any time they're killed or thwarted in anyway you hear only rage, obscenities, and colourful titles being thrown about.

Guys. It's a game. Chill the fuck out. Sometimes dying/losing is funny. If you're not enjoying yourself then play/do something else. I'd understand putting all that pressure and stress on yourself if you actually were one of the fraction of a percent of gamers that actually plays for money, but let's face it, 99.5% of us will never be that good/have that much free time. Relax, sit back, and maybe admit to yourself that the guy who landed a headshot on you from across the map may actually just be a good shot.

Console fanboys (actually I guess PC fanboys too but I never see them) really annoy me. I got two friends (twins) who will disregard anything you say about a game if you mention it's for the PS3. All you will get is "yeah well the PS3 sucks". They're otherwise good friends, but that's the only thing that annoys me about them.

Also, people who say "I can't even play ME1 and 2 anymore because of how bad ME3 is" or something along those lines. The previous two games are left unchanged, just don't play ME3 if you hate it so much...

The one I hate more than anything else are the griefers. You know the ones, the sods who only play to try to mess things up for their fellow players. It's exactly why I gave up on GMOD, it is not possible to play it anymore because no matter what server you go to, you're gonna get griefed to high heaven. I go on a build server, someone will try to destroy whatever it is im building or highjack it or paint phallus's on it or whatever, it will always be something. I go on a RP server and I'll get gunned down once every 3 minutes by "oh I was raiding your store but I didn't announce it or make any demands and I didn't steal anything after you died so... yeah I guess I did just randomly kill you but OH IT WAS A RAID SO I GOT AWAY WITH IT TROLOLOLOL"

The worst people for it are the admin abusers. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been playing and then all of a sudden im in a cage or my character can no longer move or speak or use their tool-gun because a server admin just randomly decided to mess up my privileges on their server for no reason at all.

I mean that's just from GMOD, if I were to write about other gamers which are vulnerable to this kind of behaviour well, my post would be very very long.

OT: I enjoyed gmod, I really did but I don't bother trying to play multiplayer anymore, no matter what someone will go out of their way to mess up what I'm doing and I'm sick of it.

I'm torn between Elitist jerks and noobs... And by noobs, I don't mean newbies who don't know what they are doing, I mean people who have been playing for a while and think they know everything in the game and refuse to accept advice and always blame all the problems on someone else.

As much as I would love to say elitist, I am acctually going with the "Complain, they get better, gamer". Now what I mean by this, these gamers are high lever gamers, elitist or "I´m a better than you"-gamers who yells and complains about gamers who are less skilled or beginners and expects them to become better. This really pisses me off on so many levels. If a player on your team is not as good as you and does common begginer mistakes, do yourself and your team a favor: don´t rage. No one likes to read or listen to a raging gamer. Sure, you are allowed to get angry if they refuse to listen, but instead of going instant rage, calling him dumb, unnecesearly words (gay, fag tec.), you should shut up and help the player. Tell him what he should do instead, or make him follow you so he can learn from you.

While we are at it, let´s bring up the raging gamer. If you want to ruin any game, especially online games, rage. Rage til everyone rage and destroyes the gaming experience for everyone else. As I´ve said, you are allowed to get angry, but keep it to yourself. I am not interessted to listen to a 12-year old tell me how much I suck at a CoD, because I got him in a kilcam. Raging is situational, which means that it should only be used in specific situation, not just because someone shot you with a sniper in CoD.

As a bonus, let´s throw in the insulter and the complainer. I don´t need to say more. I want them to stop playing, go and look out of a window and ask themselves "Was that necessearly?" The answer should be no.
