But seriously, I'd probably do something in special forces. One, because I want to do that anyway draft or no and two because they're the only infantry in our army that actually do something nowadays (that is, if the Sun-Herald is to be believed). I'm also fairly decent at stealth, having once been about half a metre away from someone before they noticed me.

In these troubled times I see it as necessary to have a "what if you got drafted" plan. If I got drafted, I would not serve. I would not flee the country and I would not go to jail, but instead I'd prove to them that I'm just too freaking crazy to be in their army. If I got the draft and somehow passed the physical exam, I'd go to the hospital, park in front, and sever my left leg at the knee. Afterwards, the military will have no interest in me, seeing me as both physically and mentally incompetent.

However, if I really had to serve, I'd probably want to work on a war ship, a bomber plane, or a tank, in that order of preference. Those seem relatively safer than front line infantry.

well i'm going to be a warfare officer in the navy once i've finished university..

if i was thrown into the army i'd hope to be a tank commander, sniper or infantry officer..

i'd be a quiet unassuming soldier, but would probably be decisive on the field.

Ideally, I would try to get out of a Draft. Because I have friends in the military- and if you have no prospects or not some idea what to do and volunteer, youre not going to be doing something you want to and will find yourself in basic infantry.

Personally, I've studied biology, have done a lot of volunteering and an internship with the Red Cross... I would stop waiting for the draft and volunteer for Corpsman (Medic) and put myself into that.

Has a good future for me when/if I get out
