What's got you hyped? excited? curious? dubious? ... and why, if you feel like extolling your thoughts.

For me (without order):

PRIORITY
-----------
- HAWKEN (indie mech FPS, looks awesome, can't wait)

- Mechwarrior 5 (they say it's still in the works, and ^^ I love me some clunky robotanks)

- Tribes: Ascend (Big fan of Starsiege: Tribes and Tribes 2... Enjoyed Global Agenda and believe that Hi Rez studios are well enough qualified to revive the series)

- Bioshock: Infinite (love sys-bio-shocks, have great platonic man love for Ken Levine, can't wait)

- Prototype 2 (not universally loved, but I had a blast with the original and for me, it's merits far exceeded the gripes)

- Grand Theft Auto 5 (Cool! Nice to see some colors, too)

- Mass Effect 3 (we all love N7, don't drop the ball Bioware)

- Half Life 3 / EP3 (*PLEASE*)

-----------------
Secondary / Curious
-----------------

- Planetside 2 (I never tried the original, but heard good things and see above titles)

- Syndicate (not invested in the originals, willing to give it a try)

- I Am Alive (I like suvivopocalyse games, so... ??)

- Metro: Last Light (I enjoyed 2033, but it wasn't a major thing for me)

- ARMA 3 (I found ARMA 2 to be a great, well developed simulator. I may check out the sequel)

- Diablo 3 (I was really hyped about this, in 2009... -__- Subsequent delays + changes + the marketplace have really dampened the enthusiasm I have been unable to sustain. Reserving judgement for final release, however).

Ha! Not many people still know about Tribes these days.

Tribes:Ascend: I'm curious how they're gonna handle it honestly.

Papa and Yo: A neat little indie game about a boy, a robot, and a frog eating monster. Just, yeah.

Twisted Metal: I've needed a vehicle combat fix for a while now.

Gotham City Imposters: Batman with guns in wacky FPS multiplayer goodness. What could go wrong?

Silent Hill Downpour: Please don't suck, please don't suck...

Mass Effect 3 - Please Bioware, prove to me that DA2 was a fluke and that you haven't started to suck.

King Arthur 2 - Fantasy Total War with RPG elements? YES PLEASE!

The Old Republic - Star Wars + WoW? Yeah, I think I can abandon any pretensions to a social life if I get this. Heck, the only thing stopping me is the somewhat steep entry fee of Game+Timecard.

Diablo 3 - This game is going to be good. It's going to be fun, and polished, and cool and everything. The only thing that worries me is that stuff SURROUNDING the game (real money transactions and such) might drag it down...

There is a number of games that I'm keeping my eye on as well. Prototype 2 looks like it might improve on the original (which was great), Secret World is my alternate future MMO fix aside from TOR, Syndicate (looks like it might be decent and not rape the originals too much), Torchlight 2 (Indie Diablo? yes please).

Then there are the games that I dread, like GTA5 (I hate GTA games) because people won't shut up about it, XCOM because it rapes the original in every damn way and I don't like it regardless, Bioshock: Infinite because I can't shake the feeling that they're trying to milk it a bit too much...

Where to start... I'll just put them random, not in any priority order;

-Mass Effect 3
-Guild Wars 2
-Diablo 3
-Half-Life 3(?)
-...And yes, i even wait the new upcoming WoW expansion. Call me crazy.

- Metal Gear Rising: REVENGEANCE!!! and Anarchy Reigns, Platinum Games just makes fantastic games
- Mass Effect 3, looking forward to finishing out the trilogy
- The Last Guardian, my most anticipated game for probably like 3 years now
- Bioshock: Infinite, I hope the plot is actually good compared to all the holes in Bioshock
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, there were recently 2 game videos released on PSN and it looks really good, great combat (unlike Skyrim) and a great amount of role-playing as well
- Inversion, it's looking like it could really be a great shooter with an innovative gameplay mechanic as well
- Starhawk, Warhawk is one of the best online games this gen and Starhawk is looking even better
- Hitman: Absolution, I love the Hitman games and this game is looking incredible
- Journey, I can't wait to play this PSN game, it looks great and very unique
- Tomb Raider, I always like the concept of the series but I don't think the games are very good, the new direction has me very interested

Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2 at the moment are all I can think of, havent been as many big announcements for 2012 so far as there has been for 2012.
Wait Is GTA V coming out in 2012? Because if so then thats the top of the list no contest

WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT
-Bioshock Infinite: Like the original Bioshock (which was awesome) but with a different setting, avoiding Bioshock 2's problem of Rapture-induced plotholes. Not much room for hacking, but the feature that replaces it (Tears) will probably be a decent replacement. Also, unlikely to have Bioshock 1's problem with cutting out all the sound in the PC version, which is the only HD platform I have.

Might look into sometime later
-Paper Mario 3D: I liked the original, and what I've seen of Super Paper Mario, so...Yeah, possible other use for the console there besides Yoshi's Island on VC.
-Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance: I'll admit to being skeptical about the series and the spinoffs in particular, but this one's battle system doesn't make me mind that it's a spinoff, and I may as well try a KH game before I go bashing the whole series again. Also, Neku.
-Counterstrike Global Offensive: I'm not usually one for competitive multiplayer, but CS is a pretty popular game and the "casual" mode should help me get a foothold in the game until I get a working headset with mike.
-Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm: As bad as I am at competitive first-person shooters, I'm worse at competitive real time strategy, so I'll mostly be getting this for continuing the campaign. Once I finish the (really quite good) Terran one, that is.

And since I've already made a New Year's Resolution to only get one game all next year, I'll probably have to change it to "only one of those games."

Games I'm genuinely looking forward to.
The Last Guardian(Ueda's last Ico game should be epic)
Metal Gear Rising(P* games always deliver on fast paced insanity)
Grand Theft Auto V(Biggest one yet supposedly)
Max Payne 3(Don't care for aesthetic changes but digging Euphoria)
South Park: The Game(Obsidian seem to be delivering on this one)

Kinda-sorta interested probably will rent
NeverDead(sounds like an interesting premise)
Soul Calibur V(I'm a fan but it looks meh)

Games I'm watching only because I'm a fan of the series.
DmC(Looks like its visually impressive but boring to actually play)
Hitman: Absolution(Too linear and scripted for my tastes)

I played the shit out of Guild Wars so I'm looking forward to 2 and Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. Kojima and P*? Win! Or at least it would be is P* didn't try to change the story, I love the company, but their story telling skills are lacking. I'm hoping Kojima's team will keep it good though and leave the gameplay to the hack n slash king. Also the title just cracks me up. There's a few others I'm interested in but not hyped for.

The only two that I'm super excited for are Mass Effect 3 and Final Fantasy XIII-2. Those both have solid release dates.

Games that are coming out that I'm happy about are Alan Wake: American Nightmare, Diablo III, BioShock Infinite, Silent Hill Collection, Silent Hill Downpour, Ninja Gaiden III, and The Last Guardian.

A game that I'm keeping a loose eye on is Spec Ops: The Line.

Games that I'm waiting, and wanting, to be announced are Dragon Age III, Half-Life Whatever, Dead Space 3, and Resident Evil 6. I think that's everything. I'm still on overload from this fall.

Mass Effect 3
Bioshock: Infinite

and still in the wishy washy stage:
Dead Space 3. I loved Dead Space 2's gameplay a whole lot, and hearing that Dead Space 3 might be taking place on a snow planet hits smack dab in another of my weaknesses (I adore snow environments). On the other hand the fact that EA nearly canceled it means that it's probably not going to end up being very good.

Old Republic - Started playing today and it's great! The longer the awesomeness holds the more poor I'll become...yay???

Mass Effect 3 - I wasn't crazy about ME1 but I really enjoyed ME2. ME3 looks great, hopefully the story will be there to match.

Guild Wars 2 - Where Old Republic is just WoW with Bioware storytelling, GW2 seems to be bringing something legitimately exciting to MMO's. I can only hope it actually plays well.

FF XIII-2 - I loved FF 13 because of it's fantastic combat system and focused narrative. I want to see where the story goes...but this game will no longer be a day one purchase thanks to Old Republic. I'll likely pick it up during the year's gaming lull mid-year.

Diablo 3 - Far and away my most anticipated game for YEARS. It was actually the reason I bought my new computer a couple years back so I'd have something to run it on. This game will likely be what stops my subscription to Old Republic and places all other games on hold for a long while. I'll be shocked if it's not my GOTY 2012.
