What 'versus' game would you like to see?

Seeing as the cross-over fighting games which have been coming out lately are quite popular (Are they? I'm not actually sure...) are there any other games you'd like to see get the 'versus' treatment?

For the sake of discussion value, don't think of 'versus' in it's traditional sense, consider conflicting storylines. (I.e in Halo vs. Half Life, Gordon Freeman and Master Chief stop the combine as they take control of the Halos/ They stop the Covenant from taking control of Black Mesa Portal Technology, something like that)

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Gothic vs. Dragon Age (That's pre-ArcaniA Gothic). Seeing as the Nameless Hero already has experience in fucking up Dragons, he would be a useful asset to any party in Dragon Age, or perhaps seeing an alternate storyline in Gothic 2 where the Hero has to recruit some help to kill the Undead Dragon.

Discuss :D

What? You completely ruined my Guilty Gear vs. BlazBlue post.......wait, those two mixing, even in a story sense, is still awesome. Never mind.

Warhammer 40k VERSUS Doom/Quake/Killzone/Infiniteknockoffs

IT'S THE SPACE MARINES VERSUS THE SPACE MARINES IN A BATTLE TO DETERMINE THE SPACE MARINIEST

(spoiler alert, the space marines win)

In all seriousness, are we talking like Marvel Vs Capcom kind of versus where you have entire casts versus entire casts in a beat-em-up format, or are we talking more like Deadliest Warrior sort of 'make up some science to give us an excuse to splatter some ballistics gel and then determine whose warriors are better based on overkill, conjecture and a horribly choreographed fight scene' sort of deal?

Because if it's option b; I would love to see the Care Bears take on My Little Pony in a Kumite-styled deathmatch.

CARE BEAR STARE VS POWER OF FRIENDSHIP

FIGHT!

It has, in comic form, to the delight of NOBODY.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_vs._Marvel

The winners were based on write-in votes, meaning the whole thing was a literal popularity contest which led to such ludicrous upsets as Lobo (who has gone toe-to-toe with Superman) losing to Wolverine (who has been bested by the Punisher, a man whose only power is bullets and evading law enforcement)
and Wonder Woman (again, about as strong as Superman) losing to Storm (who once lost a fight to a pair of hair clippers. HEY-OH!!)

The miniseries gave birth to the thankfully short-lived Amalgam imprint, which featured such memorable characters as 'Dark Claw', who was literally the fusing of Batman and Wolverine.

OH YEAAAHHH

The 90s sucked to be a comic fan.
Just saying.

I remember I made a thread kind of like this...

Only difference was that it had to be a fighting game and both sides can be from any type of franchise.
But I'll say my suggestions that's relative to this topic:

Mass Effect Vs. Star Wars
Dragon Age Vs. Lord of the Rings

Am I the only person who liked Marvel vs DC and the Amalgam Universe?

OT: For some reason all I can think of is Simpsons vs Family Guy. It'd probably be a horrible game but it'd be interesting to see.

Well, you are the only person i have ever heard of in my entire long lifetime of comics fanaticism who has ever admitted to enjoying either of those comics, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say 'yes'.

Seriously, dude, not to threadjack this or anything, but Dark Claw? Really, man?

I mean, more power to you and to each their own, but Dark Claw?

And that was not even the worst of it, either, just the most visually and stunningly (imo) horrible example.

Seriously, dude. Dark Claw.

No sir, you are not. I find them silly and fun. Too many people take them WAAAY to seriously, it's just a fun crossover event.

Marvel vs DC had all sorts of awesome fights in it, even if some of the outcomes WERE a bit silly (I'll freely admit that the previously mentioned Wonder Woman vs Storm and Wolverine vs Lobo fights were dangerously close to crossing over from "silly" to "stupid").

And the Amalgam Universe books were great fun too, although it's kinda hard to judge them as one, since their quality is all over the place. Lobo the Duck, for example, is pretty awful. But X-Patrol, Iron Lanturn, and Spider-Boy were good. And there were some downright hilarious merged characters in there (seriously, Mary Marvel Girl and Siliconman both made me laugh out loud when I saw them).

I guess I can understand why some loath it, but I personally had fun with the series.

Okay, I'm WAAAAY off topic here. Time to steer back on course.

OT: I'd like to see an honest-to-goodness Mario/Sonic platformer, no more of this Olympic Games mini-game bullshit.

Mass Effect vs Halo. MC vs Shephard in a fight or on the same team would be badass either way.

For that matter, who do you think would win in a fight, MC or Batman? :p

How about Call of Duty with a Portal gun? :p

Personally though I'm hoping they do make an Alien vs Predator shooter that was as good as AvP 2 for the PC.

CoD vs. Battlefield. One side has bullet drop, squads, and vehicles, the other side has hitscan, killstreaks, and commando lunges.

Video game critics.

Seriously, as impossible as it is to pull off, I like to see an action/fighting game designed and cast by video game critics. They know what a good game is, and a couple of them might have experience in making one. Combat should be unconventional but I don't know what it would look like. The game could have a good single player mode with an ACTUAL STORYLINE, a regular multiplayer verses mode, and a mode where you fight a horde of enemies on both single player or multiplayer.
Heck, I can imagine a roster including Spoony, AVGN, Yahtzee (if he can be convinced it's not just a generic fighting game), seanbaby, Chet Faliszek, Eric Wolpaw, Bennett the Sage, AngryJoe and Nostalgia Critic.

[sub]Yes, Nostalgia Critic, because a fighting game with AVGN is never complete without Nostalgia Critic[/sub]

GTA3 vs VC vs SA

Silly:
Sims vs C/Katherine. One whines about his girlfriend(s) while the other whines about needing to use the toilet.
