What video game city would you like to live in? This doesn't necessarily have to include the universe of any game, but what city in general would you like to live in? When answering please include which game the city is from.

Personally, I would love to live in City 17 minus all the hostile aliens and stuff. It looks to be a pretty cool place.

Every time this thread comes up I say the same thing:

- A little seaside place in Anvil where I can practice the arts of Illusion, specifically Chameleon, and make a little side living as an alchemist specializing in hard-to-find potion ingredients (the 100% Chameleon suit would keep me out of danger.)

I wouldn't mind Fourside from Earthbound. Or Twilight Town from Kingdom Hearts (admittedly, so I could sneak aboard the bad ass Disney train).

I would either go for Anvil, as above (and because That town is one of the best defended and picturesque {Screw Skingrad, It's a damn vampire-castle-esque thing straight out of Dracula}). I would also go for The Imperial City or Chorrol. In the Imperial City you can get an income killing the handily populous goblins in the sewer or in the Mages guild. It is the largest and heavily defended city anywhere and has one helluva load of shops AND I can go to the arena on the weekends.

Though, if I had to live in the dockyards then I would move to Chorrol (Koh-rol, not Choh-rol). Heavily defended, picturesque, work (hunting and fighters guild) and some of the friendliest citizens in Cyrodiil (except the bloody Argonian woman. She STALKS me to say 'Hello.' and then gets annoyed because I was trying to shop at her mothers shop without talking to her!).

Soo, err. Yeah. Thats my excessively long and excessively well thought out answer. I do hae over 140 hrs on Oblivion after all.

City 17 is one of the main settings for Half Life 2 which yes, is a Valve game. It'd be an interesting place to live, but seems pretty miserable under the thumb of the Combine. A weird thought I had about it: Based on the geography, Eastern European architecture, Cyrillic based language and proximity to the coast that if it had to be a real city, it would most likely be the remnants of Odessa, Ukraine. You could certainly do worse if that were the case.

As for me, hell I don't know. Somewhere in the Starcraft universe could be cool as long as it wasn't part of the Dominion or being constantly overrun by the Zerg. Maybe in the Kel-Morian Combine or something.
