Kudos to Ethan, I love FF VII, but the world I most wanted to live in was FF VI. Great characters. Other than that...The Elder Scrolls III: Daggerfall. Loved that game, wish I could've been in that universe.

Pokemon was the first game I really wished was real, but later on, Final Fantasy X took that place and never let it go. I fell in love with the world of Spira for a lot of reasons, but the big one?

Used to? I still wish some games were real. Like Saints Row 2.
That would be fucking scary as hell. Why would you want That?!?!
Well, for one thing, I wouldn't be a pedestrian or cop. Second, I'd stay out of the way of The Boss. Third, I'd make him and Gat combined look sane and rational. I'd be perfectly safe, and might befriend the Boss, making me pretty safe, since all the other gangs are gone (and people who's numbers he knows seem to be able to live through explosions, bullets and everything else). Besides, if I die, he'd zombify me with Eye For An Eye (the Zombie homies are canon, he mentions trying to get Channel Six to do a story about Zombie Lin in one of the DLCs, and some of the goths mention that they heard Zombie Lin is still around).
well then could you give him my number too?

And any .hack game. But more because of .hack//sign
hell YES. My friend and I made up this game based around the dot hack series, we had our own characters, levels, it was like I was a GM, and we hgad this whole alternate story for Aura and all the characters.

uhm... I have wanted a few games to be real, recently though it has only really been l4d, and Bioshock, but a long time ago it was a lot of stuff, like kh

I still do but here's my list:
Pokemon [especially Mystery Dungeon] (face it, we all have...me and my friends carried Pokeballs around school until grade 6)
Fire Emblem (Woohooo!!! Lead fools to their death and make them fight in a way that pleases my insanity!)
Advance Wars (Especially Days of Ruin)
Harvest Moon (What? Don't give me that look, you know you do too!)

Still do, and combine them all into one "super" fantasy where it is the classic "good vs evil" thing with me leading all the good forces against the evil ones.

Left 4 Dead, but then again, we have all imagined ourselves in the zombie apocalypse.
Curse you. I was thinking of switching back to my Radiobear avatar, but you've filled the niche. I'll stick to my Thom Yorke mouse..

On topic: Banjo Kazooie Nuts&Bolts. Because that game is basically fulfilling my childhood dreams of being able to build functional Lego vehicles.

Of course Pokémon, but maybe I think there was a videogame of it;

Yu-Gi-Oh!
Imagine having these beasts at the flip of a card

As a kid I used my desert cowboy lego and alien legostuff to re-enact the Fallout games, using some of the alien armors and helmets as Power Armors, using other bits and bobbles that i made into chainguns and plasmarifles;) and then making up combatrules and then have a nice Brotherhood of Steel slaughters dirty mutant scenarios. Im not sure if thats healthy for a kid but it was good fun. The other kids who played with me never really got it though so I mostly played it alone. I also re-enacted Operation Flashpoint in the nearby forest in my younger days, treating all the old people walking their dogs as enemy patrols trying to find me after I sniped that basecommander.

I wasnt much for wishing I guess, I used my imagination to create my own worlds and stories ;)

It would be kinda pointless unless you were in Stilwater and actively insane and homicidal.
