What video games make you feel like you're on vacation? or Ever taken a break while taking a break?

Hmm. Probably the Team ICO games. Particularly ICO in that regard.

I have Ico but still need to finish it off, so now I'm considering taking another crack at it. Have to say that the hour I did play for didn't promise much vacationing.

Heh. Yeah. The dungeon you start out in isn't very welcoming, I'll say that much. XD

The place has a lot of beautiful locations though in my opinion.

I haven't played it in a long time, but Final Fantasy 10.

The whole world of Spira was basically a big tropical fantasy land.

Also Wind Waker.

Ah stole it. But yeah, FFX. The tropical and neon setting along with the accents and relaxing music make it one of my favorite game worlds to soak in

I'll go old school and say Giants: Citizen Kabuto. Tropical alien planet? Check. Hot blue alien women? Check. Picnic basket? Check.

Tomb Raider. It's got a nice island with a pleasant East-Asian vibe to it, sunny beaches, welcoming authentic villages, friendly people and their local customs. The weather can be a hassle sometimes but it's not that big of a deal... You just run around, explore a bit, immerse yourself into the culture, mingle among the local population...

Murder aside, they nailed that tropical island atmosphere in SDR2 so hard that I was able to feel completely immersed in the whole thing just reading a screenshot LP running all the proper music keys in the background, which is also fantastic by the way...

You can practically hear that ocean wind and soothing waves... through the maniacal laughter of a homicidal teddy bear and the fading screams of your classmates...

...the amount of love I have for this series says allot about me as a person...

Oh man, I remember that game. Classic.

Favourite moment was when I first used Delphi's best ability, the tornado spell.

I was expecting a little whirlwind type deal. Y'know, maybe take out a single patrol of enemies if I placed it carefully.

But then the game patted me on the back and said, "Oh ye of little faith. You get exactly what it says on the can. It says "tornado". So, rest assured, you will get a motherfucking tornado."

Then the skies turned dark...
