What villain type would you be?

Yeah, don't ask me what motivated this, but...basically what sort of villain would you be? There are some you can pick from listed here, but you are are free to post your own types/examples.

The Manipulator- This is the one who is always thinking of ways to further manipulate and use people/situations to their advantage. Constantly looking for further ways to create distrust, to set people down the path of self destruction. They aren't so much leading the hero to their demise, as getting them to blow their own brains out. Unfortunately, they aren't normally very good if everyone figures out that your pulling them along..turns out they aren't all that good with backup plans. But hey, why do the work when you can just find ways to make your arch nemesis do it all for you?

Eg. Palpatine in the Star wars prequels (Please don't hurt me for mentioning the prequels!), Revolver Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3.

The Schemer- At first you might not think there is much difference between this and manipulator; Both are known to use people, both manipulate and both play out behind the scenes. HOWEVER, the schemer is known to normally be much more involved in things and will readily get off their backside to do things themselves if shit hits the fan. They will always make sure they have their plans thought out five steps in advance, have several back-up plans formulated and know the exact movements you'll make before you make them. They REALLY think things out, sometimes to the point of absurdity, but boy are they good at planning traps. These aren't so much the ones as turn people against one another, rather those who make sure that the protagonist is lead right into a death trap.

Eg. Sosuke Aizen of Bleach, Light Yagami of Death Note, Moebius of Legacy of Kain

The Dark Knight- Don't go thinking about the damned movie, cause that isn't it: The Dark Knight is the leader, not so much a schemer as a "Doer". They might not have all the brains, but they normally have the power and skills to back up what they say. They have entire armies at their disposal, or sometimes just themselves or a band of men with a shared vision. Normally they are the kind of person who has a good intent but it has become horribly twisted and they themselves have to be stopped before they do great harm; Whether by a love lost, disillusionment with current leaders or just the quest of greater power to save those they love, they are doing what they think to be the right thing for their perceived "Greater Good".

Eg. Prince Nuada of Hellboy 2, Saren of Mass Effect 1, Vergil of Devil May Cry 3.

The Doombringer- These are people who are the opposite of the Dark Knight: They are out to make the world theirs, and they'll be damned if they'll let you stand in the way! These are normally the ones who plot world Domination, who seek to gain power for purely selfish reasons or to bring about the end for their own gain. Sure, they have a plan, but they are only focused on that goal of theirs. These are the typical brick walls of days gone by; The one who steals the princess, the one who unleashes the evil dragon, the one who wants to be a god. Selfish, greedy and with a lust for power so great that they will let nothing stand in their way to it.

Eg. The Reapers in Mass Effect 2, Sephiroth of Final Fantasy 7, Ganon of Legend of Zelda, Bowser of Mario etc etc.

The Anarchist- Absolutely nothing about these types of villains makes sense; No great motivation, no schemes, no planning, and no great goal in mind. They are normally very unstable, with a simple purpose of just pure anarchy in all forms. They don't so much aim for greater power, as to see those with it be brought crumbling down to "Their level". After all, some people don't need things like money, or power. They can't be brought, reasoned with, or bribed. They just want to see the world burn, to see suffering and anarchy become a driving force.

eg. The Joker from The Dark Knight, Kefka of Final Fantasy 6, "Millenium" of Hellsing.

Personally, i think i might lean towards either Dark Knight or Anarchist, but thats just me.

So Escapists, which villain archtype here are you? Or, perhaps you are of another altogether.

I think I would be the Dark Knight. I honestly feel like if I became bad, that I would end up doing it for what I thought would be the right reasons. I mean, if you think about it, many people end up becoming Dark Knights themselves.

The Schemer, because I'd like to see the hero's frustrations when he keeps falling for my traps.

I'm something between The Manipulator, and The Schemer.
Ummm, I mean, I would be, if I was a villain. Yes, that is what I meant.
I would call it... actually, I don't know.

That is perfect. You shall make a great pawn. A very elite, prized pawn.

Probably the Dark Knight. Don't think I'd be a very good villain unless I truly believed that what I was doing was good for others too. Not ambitious enough otherwise, to do it for myself alone.

Probably a mix of the Schemer and the Dark Knight. I'll plan things out, but I can still do it on the fly and get it done well. That, and i'm the sort of person who'd believe in a greater good (albeit cynically) and won't let anyone stand against it. But I'm not the most powerful person in the world, so I'd need to plan and prepare for the destruction of my enemies.

I would be The Schemer.
When I get my hands on the hero, no monologue, no gloating, no waste of time. Put the damn bullet in his head, then feed him to the sharks, and get on with takeing over the world.

If villans's tought me one thing, its go for the kill when you have the hero cornered.

Probably Dark Knight. Especially in pursuit of a loved one. Or reviving a loved one. I would go crazy for my special someone.

Schemer or Anarchist.

I'd have loads of thought out plans to wreak havoc, but I'd be at the forefront of eveything.

The schemer. But it would be the sort of absurd schemes like in a Jean-Piere Jeunet style. I often come up with plans to deal with things in a bizarre way in games :)

Schemer for sure. If the world was modern day or sci-fi, there would be many surprise tank assaults in the protagonist's future.

Probably somewhere between schemer and manipulator on your ratings. But I think I'd be a great anti-villain, like the opposite of an anti-hero, someone whose very likeable and has vaguely noble goals but does evil to achieve them.
