HAAAAAAAAAIIIII ESSSCCAAAPPPPIIIIIIISSSSTTTT.

So, I'm 16. And sadly I'm stuck in Sixth Form doing 4 A-Levels, so I basically don't have time for a job.

But all my mates who are only doing 3 have jobs and are making serious money:( sadface. So basically, I'm gonna try work my ASS off to get a summer job next year, because I need money:(.
-----------------------------------------------------
So I was just wondering, what was YOUR first job?
Or do you guys have any suggestions of what I can look in to?
...but let that be an afterthought.

Gogogogogogogo:].

I worked at a local rec center setting up parties and moving stuff.
It was pretty easy, and I made good money with tips.

I worked at PetSmart (pet retail chain) for 3 years. It was the worst three years of my life. My advice is don't get stuck in a dead end job. Keep moving.

I worked at their direct competitor (PetCo) for two. I agree. Stay away. Stay far, far away.
Thankless, dirty jobs with a crappy customer base whose individual senses of entitlement are appalling.

I've never really had a proper paid job (besides a paper round) but my work experience was at CEX for 2 weeks a few years ago.

Man that was great fun...

EDIT: Oh yeah personally my advice would be to stay away from a part time job if you're in your first year of A levels...

I was a lazy student, walked my GCSEs without a days revision, didn't fail anything so on so forth.

Bombed in my first year of A levels and now I'm retaking them all in a desperate struggle to make up for lost time...

It's going surprisingly well this year.

I delivered my local newspaper for about 2 hours every morning, 6 days a week, for dick pay. It was hell.

My first job was McDonald's.

Long hours, ungrateful customers, very tedious labor, co-workers who offered no help to the new person who was stuck in the back handling money at the drive-thru, and a paycheck that was less than satisfactory for that time period.

Never. fucking. again.

My experience was awesome!! I guess it depends on the people you work with. I always had fun there!

First real job that wasn't just chores was last weekend, helping to clear out my uncles house for the renovation.

After six hours, it turned from a hole in the ground filled with crap to a respectable hole in the ground. I have high hopes for the house's future.

Then we got Hardee's

Making decent money as a cashier at the local supermarket. It's a good choice for first time employees, I think. You learn stuff like costumer treatment, work ethics, keeping schedule etc.

Maha yeah, definitely gonna wait till summer. I barely have enough time on my hands at the moment [even though it's probably due to having some bad problems at home right now]. Reckon it's possible to hold a job during my A2 year?

I clean up shit, and I love it. I'm a cleaner at a veterinary clinic so I have to clean the waiting rooms, clean up after accidents, and just keep the place tidy. I get to play with animals, and it's easy labor so I love it. It's minimum wage, but most teenage jobs are, and the only thing I can complain about is that I don't get many hours.

If you comfortably pass your AS levels (as in C or above) then the jump from AS to A2 is nothing compared to the jump from GCSE to AS.

So yeah I'd say it's all good if your getting around Cs at AS.

I worked at a coffee/muffin place at the mall when I was 15-16. It wasn't so bad, and I would have stayed a long time if the boss wasn't such an ass.

Okay thanks a lot man:] fingers crossed then. Gotta say I still don't have a clue how the whole AS/A2 thing actually works o.o hrr. I definitely know I'll be dropping a subject at the end of this year though.

Haha thank god, A Levels right now are like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU >< haha.

Keep'em coming guys c(^_^c)
