I can't honestly remember what the first was anymore.
I remember the first Wizardry was awesome compared to what we had played before that. I don't remember if I played that on the Apple onr the TRS 80 though. A bunch of commedor 64 games I think came after along with all those atari games. I think we may have played pong as well but I can't remember. Pac man was also big for awhile. Honestly it's been so long only a few gems really shine out to me at this point.
Zork (almost sure that was on the TRS 80)
Wizardry Proving grounds of the mad overlord (first RPG of that type for me)
Adventure (one of my favorite Atari Games)
Mail Order Monsters (great Commedor 64 game)
Zelda (awesome freaking action RPG.....I practiced using a controller with that game big time)
Super Mario Brothers (honestly that game was so amazing when it came out..both in the arcade and on the nintendo)
Meglomania (another atari clasic I played with friends alot).
I also made a bunch of my own games after learning to program in basic (first through Logo at school). I'm not sure when that was in the timeline of games but it was when Apple IIc's were pretty new.
Games back then were magical in a way. Everything was new and you could spend months playing a new game like Wizardry that we probably would kill in a week or two now. Sad in a way.
