Goldeneye for the N64. Nothing else even came close.

Personally, I hated Nightfire. It seemed like if Agent Under Fire tried to become a great game and failed.

GoldenEye definitely aged badly. People still call it brilliant largely because of the nostalgia factor, because no one's played it since 1999 or so.
WRUNG!

Right up until I left high school (in 2006) Goldeneye was pretty much the only FPS anyone played. Newer stuff did come along (notably Halo/2) but after a while everyone goes back to Goldeneye's simplicity. That and you can go from console off to playing in around 30seconds, making it the ultimate lunch break game.

Goldeneye easily, and as for it aging, Im going to go against the wave and say its still as good, if not better than most shooters, especially the multiplayer.

I'll throw in with the masses and say Goldeneye, but to be honest, I don't think I've played a Bond game since then. I have very fond memories of the terror on my friends faces when I would come round a corner with a RCP-90. It was the first and probably only time that I had been feared for my FPS prowess.

I had no idea people were still playing their N64's in 2006. mine is at the bottom of my cupboard and most of my friends are in their attics.

everything or nothing - it was my first ps2 game and i loved every second of it - even the remixed theme tune by sean callery was brilliant

Golden Eye was amazing. Hands down. But right now I'm playing "Everything or nothing." Honestly I like the combat. If u don't take cover your ass is shot. Plus the ability to take people silently down, counter their hand to hand attacks, and take cover vaguely reminds me of a combat system similar to a game called GEARS OF WAR. And I'm buying G.O.W. when i get my xbox simply because i like this sort of combat so much that i need more. The vehicles were terrible though. ANyway i'm just now playing this game

1. Goldeneye (for nostalgia purposes, and the fact the MP is still fun in 2011)
2. Everything or Nothing
3. Blood Stone

Id say Goldeneye N64, it was the game that got me into FPSs (and gaming in general)

Goldeneye was pretty good, but the hours I wasted on Nightfire's multiplayer only rivalled Super Smash Bros Melee that generation.
