what was the best Christmas you've had that was gaming related?

I think it was 2004 when I got a 100-bone gift card to Toys "R" Us, which I used two weeks later to buy Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GameBoy Advance alongside it's strategy guide... and back then, that game's big twist actually got to me because I haven't played, let alone finished, the first PS2 game at the time... Plus, that game's commercial was half of it's selling point for me...

Other than that, the year one of my games gave me his old copy of Metroid Prime was pretty damn awesome in its own right...

Probably 1990, the year I got my Mega Drive with Sonic The Hedgehog. It was the first console I could call my own and it cemented my love for games. I still have it and, 25 years later, it still works.
