Last night I saw, The Old Life of Timothy Green, and what struck me to watch this movie is from the movie preview.

So, what movie have you seen recently that you like to share but not giving away spoilers?

This is my short movie review:
The Old Life of Timothy Green is powerful, a married couple tried to conceive a child but had no luck, they were giving up but they tried one last option. A child appeared (like in the movie previews) and they mothered and fathered it, they hide his secret. Timothy also had a secret he was keeping from his parents, find out what this secret was in The Old Life of Timothy Green.

From watching this movie, a lot of emotions came up it kept me wondering what Timothy wasn't telling his parents. I give this movie a 4 out of 5 review.

He explained in the film why he didn't tell his parents. It's a weak reason, sure, but he's supposed to be like 10 years old so logic isn't going to factor in too much.

OT: Best movie I saw recently? Well The Scorpion King 3 is that. I'm not going to give anything away, but I can't remember a more enjoyable movie-going experience.

Lord of War is my favourite movie ever. Superb acting and writing, gripping story, and overall a great drama that had dark humour seeded in. It's about a Ukranian-American arms dealer, played by Nicholas Cage, and his escapades. And no, you are not going to root for Cage's character, though you might get a few good chuckles when at one point he says "Grenades, yay!".

The Dark Knight Rises.

Batman's been gone for 8 years, and he has to learn to be Batman again.
That seems really interesting that Batman has been gone for 8 years, wonder what the city looks like, wonder if he is able to get back into Batman style. I haven't seen The Dark Knight Rises yet. But it does look extremely good.

Well while the movie is really good, the whole 'learn to be Batman again' thing isn't really that much.

Mild spoilers about why
he just goes after Bane, gets beaten up, thrown in prison, does some excerise, gets his back fixed, and climbs out of the prison.

That's pretty much it, though.

Grave of the Fireflies.

An animated film that shows the horrors of WWII from the perspective of two Japanese children. It makes me cry every time I watch it.

Unstoppable

While it is like the train version to the past film Speed but the characters interaction and the action suspense made it great in my book despite at times it can get quite silly.

By this time in my life, it's hard to say BEST MOVIE, because I've seen alot of good stuff. I'm just gonna go with Lord Kloo and say Batman Romps Through Pittsburgh The Dark Knight Rises. If you haven't figured out already why I would pick that, please note the Terrible Towel on my shoulder and then get a good look at those Gotham Rogues.

anything with this guy in it

seriously this guy was TOO badass for the expendables. he was also a better joker than heath ledger, heath ledger had to get into the mindset of the joker which eventually led to him going insane and killing himself (true story) however jack nicholson had to act more sane to be the joker because in real life he makes the joker seem like a normal person (also a true story)

so departed is probably the best film or easy rider or even bucket list because that has morgan freeman in it too and thats just a badass combination

I'm not sure what the best movie I've ever seen is, but I did recently watch two pretty good movies:

1. Martha Marcy May Marlene
A girl joins a cult. There's not a lot of specifics on the beliefs of the cult; it's more about the process / brainwashing techniques. Eventually, she leaves the cult and has some trouble adjusting to normal life. The movie jumps back and forth between the time with the cult and the time away. There are some interesting themes and parallels. The ending is ambiguous but awesome, and raises new questions about what exactly was goin' on in the bulk of the movie. Interestingly enough, it stars the younger sister of the Olsen twins. She's pretty good.

2. Detention (the one made in 2012; there are a few movies with this name)
This got pretty bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes (33% last I checked), but I thought it was frickin' sweet. A very fast-paced, attention deficit disorder kinda deal (it's directed by a guy who got started with music videos, so, yeah.) Basically, it's a self-aware parody/homage mashup of teen horror and a few other cliches, and on another level it's kind of a meditation on the emptiness / stagnancy of the last few generations (my "generation Y", who came up in the 90s, and yours, right now, you teenager, you.) By the end of the movie, everything has gone completely bananas, and it can be hard to be sure what the hell you just watched. Warning: it does have Dane Cook in it, but he's not really a major character, and he's actually pretty tolerable.
