But yeah, SimCity didn't literally fall burning out of the sky while spreading toxic fuel all over the place.
Hey, Kerbal is a great game.

(Also please tell me nobody was on board that).

Hence why we're pointing and laughing rather than mourning.

It was carrying three GLONASS satellites; GLONASS is the Russian alternative to the GPS.
So there wasn't even some kindly professor's science experiment/probe.

Huh, well better get this one out of the way before others take it:
Sim City 2013.

Honestly need I say more? I mean the launch of it was so bad that it was literally unplayable for a long while, then there was the whole "always online" problem which only heated up more once a mod was created and showed that the game could in fact be played offline unlike what Maxis had said.
This. SOO much this. The issues around the online GTA play, for me, was such a 'meh' moment. The SimCity launch generated sooo much rage...

Fallout 4. Because it didn't happen.
I might say the PS4 in general. Only 250,000 units in the UK? I was expecting at least a million. I've seen barely any marketing, its as if Sony doesn't want us to care.

I guess Rome 2. Seriously, have you SEEN that shit? It's funny for people like me who don't have much of an interest in those games but it's a huge slap in the face to anyone who likes the Total War series.

What is this even?
my vote goes to rome. fucking piece of shit... why did i preorder it. even now half fixed i don't really enjoy it, my nostalgia glasses have been sewn onto my face, so now medieval 2 and rome 1 were the best TW games...

i have special hatred for rome 2 for making me paranoid, i had only built my new awesome pc for a month or two before it was released, and it made me think i'd fucked up and bought terrible parts because the game was so laggy... nope, PC is still awesome thankyouverymuch -_-

I can't believe I almost forgot the trainwreck that was Simcity.

Between the DRM, blatant product placement, server issues, limited build space for no reason, and being nigh broken, it was the gift that just kept on giving.

That gif is the perfect representation of the game.

Also SimCity is a failure as I've not seen anyone that actually enjoyed the game.... let alone the megaton launch issues that made the game unplayable for a lot of people.

Honestly, the release of Sim City 2013 was one of the most wonderful things I've seen in gaming this year. I ate so much imaginary popcorn while watching that beauty of a trainwreck.
EVERYONE knew that what EA was doing was going to fail hard, and the fact that they're actually getting their deserved comeuppance wasn't just a joy to watch; it was a public event.

Anyone who doesn't say Ashes Cricket 2013 is wrong. How many games get cancelled after they're released?
I was about to say this.
Though GTAV/Rome 2/Sim City are also strong contenders for the crown.
And I say GTAV because GTA Online is part and parcel of it. Most especially because it didn't even manage to launch WITH the game. And to be fair, GTAV's launch wasn't entirely smooth sailing on it's own (hello car eating gargaes) XD

It seems like that any game that REQUIRES internet access to play, becomes a shit hole. So yeah Sim City for me as well
