I'm not sure if kids these days still buy entire albums, but this is still a fun topic to reminisce on.
My first album was "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Dare to Be Stupid." I was 8 years old. I bought it on cassette from Record Surplus in Los Angeles.
I never bought that album, my mom did for me (I was also 8, but I was born in 1990). I think my first album I physically bought with my own money, Geez, I bought two in one day, they were both Soundtracks, and one was
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, based off the movie, and it cuts the song about the "Sword of Damocles" and "Wise Up, Janet Weiss". Otherwise, not a bad buy.
The Other was the Soundtrack to Tommy (The 70s Rock Opera by The Who). It's epic.
