The first movie I ever owned was not Fritz Lang's Metropolis [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0017136/] but in fact, Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293416/], a friend gave it to me for Christmas.

I really enjoyed it, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The Lost world. No not JP2. The Lost World. From the 20s. Completely silent. It's almost an entire half-hour long.

First I ever bought was a Star Wars boxed set at age 9.

The Matrix, I remember it well. It wasn't all that long ago really, just the ten years.

Now, the first video I ever owned... that would be a tough one.
heh, same

The 'Sharpe' TV series. Brilliant movies based on the Bernard Cornwell historical fiction books, with Sean Bean in the starring role.

Definitely "Evolution", with David Duchovny. Such a fun little movie. ^^

... Damn, that was a long time ago. Now I have two giant shelves full of DVDs and games.

First Dvd? It was either Star Wars Episode 2 or The Fellowship of the Ring. I can't remember which one i got first. I think it was The Fellowship of the Ring as i'm pretty sure my brother got Star Wars Episode 2: attack of the clones, for his birthday - which is after mine.
