Umm. I had a Postman Pat snakes and ladders game. It was pretty intense. We played where you had to roll the exact number at the end, of course.
I can remember playing games before it, but the one that always sticks in my mind is Comix Zone. It was like so totally tubular, but it was the first I irrationally loved playing. Kind of a pattern I get into.

The first game I ever played was Contra around 1987. I remember watching my mom play an arcade shooter. I think it was Hogan's Alley. That's the first video game I remember.

Same as above. I think ours was the Sears version IIRC. Not too long after that my dad brought home our Atari VCS that is still in my parents room as I type this and was played today for a Galaxian tourney.

I'm not meaning to be a douche or anything, but according to your birth date that you have set on this website I seriously doubt that your first game was pong. If it was then I give extreme kudos to your parents for having such good taste as to start you on good reliable source material.

OT: My first game was either Combat, Pac-man, or Missile Command (probably not that due to the difficulty) on the Atari 2600, my dad was incredibly into Atari consoles.

My very first game was most likely one of those education games clumsily disguised as a computer game. That or the Mario Bros. Duck Hunt cartridge.
The first video game that I owned was Sonic 2 on my genesis.
