That depends on what you mean by "played".

The first time someone put a controller in my hand and i pressed buttons it was Mario Bros for the NES.

However, the first game i actually played with the intent of progressing in was The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. Needless to say... its my favorite game ever.

G-Police on the PS1. Most of my gaming childhood was spent playing that game, and I still consider it to be one of the best games I've ever played.

My dad started me off at age 3 with Mario Zelda and Tetris for nes and some games for Vectrex.

Vectrex was the bomb-diggity of its day on account of the cool color inserts needed to give the games any color.
