My Atari 2600 made me a gamer. Every game I played was just pure awesomeness. Doesn't even matter which game I played. I knew I was a gamer from the tender age of 6 years old. I haven't changed my strips after 30 years.
But the magic of the 8 and 16-bit era is what REALLY appreciate gaming on a deeper level. To me those were the golden eras of gaming. The magic will NEVER be repeated. It wasn't about photo realism and powerful consoles. The games were the magic. If I could get my hands on a complete collection of games for the Nes and Genesis. I'd never care about another game console ever again.
