Just a thread to discuss the last book you've read, and if it was any good.

The Last book I read was The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham.

It was a pretty good book, but the ending was abrupt, inconclusive and anticlimactic.

How about you guys?

I'd take out that "ever". It's not needed.

Anyhow, last book I read was The Authoritative Calvin And Hobbes.

The 5 people you meet in Heaven.

It WOULD have been the first book of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but my brother wont let me borrow it. He is gonna take forever to finish it I bet too...

I'm currently reading Empire of the Sun by J.G. Ballard. Before this, I read Novecento by Alessandro Baricco.

Fight Club by Chuck something-or-other, I forget his name, it's long and starts with a P. I can neither say it nor spell it.
Good book, anyway.

That's it! Palahuik!

I picked up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies today, so I'll start that too.

I know I will regret admitting it on this forum but it was twilight.
Would you like a training bra? Since you've become a 12 year old girl in my mind.

Sorry, but it had to be done.

The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents.

It's Terry Pratchet. It's awesome by proxy.

This is why I said I would regret it. I was forced to for a book report though.

Palahniuk. And no, Im not trying to be a douche. Hes just one of my favorite authors, so i thought i would help u out.

Mine would be The Sunset Limited by Cormac McCarthy (even though that was a Play) but if i must pick an actual novel, it would be The Road but CM. Im working on his Border Trilogy. such a good author. he has such a way with words.

The last book I finished was Robert Heinlein's The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress. Since then, I've read some stories in a Sherlock Holmes collection and in Tucker Max's I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell.

I like your taste in books, good sir.
I also agree. I'm currently reading Witches Abroad. Terry Pratchett is one of the funniest people alive. Also, the Robert Asprin Myth books are good for a chuckle as well.
