The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents.
I like your taste in books, good sir.
I also agree. I'm currently reading Witches Abroad. Terry Pratchett is one of the funniest people alive. Also, the Robert Asprin Myth books are good for a chuckle as well.
Have you tried Wee Free Men? I loved that book.

The last work I read that I was never exposed to before would probably be the Call of Cthulhu, but I just recently reread The Iliad trans. Robert Fagles.

Just a thread to discuss the last book you've read, and if it was any good.

The Last book I read was The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham.

It was a pretty good book, but the ending was abrupt, inconclusive and anticlimactic.

How about you guys?
Wyndham..Same guy who wrote Day of the Triffids? Now, that was an excellent read.

My last one was 'Puckoon', by Spike Milligan. In the preceding weeks, it was Mondo Desperado by Patrick McCabe and Confessions of a Shopaholic by I. Deservetobeshot [shut up, I was on holiday. It's obligatory to read trash.]. 2001: A Space Odyssey and Camus' The Fall in ebook form, too.
I tend to graze, though. It's a really bad habit..I can't recall ever finishing a series beseides Harry Potter and His Dark Materials..

The Mask of the Sun, by Fred Saberhagen. I found a 1979 edition on Half.com for 75 cents.

Pro C# 2008 and the .NET 3.5 Platform, Fourth Edition, by Andrew Troelsen. I just started reading House of Leaves, by Mark Z. Danielewski. Now there's a trip. It's worth finding a copy of the book if only to puzzle over the way that it's written.
