Last time I bought comics, it was Menkui vol. 1-3 (the complete set of this yaoi series), I-Doll (a manhwa) vol. 1 and Futaba-kun Change vol. 1.

BUY manga or comics?
I might pick up The Far Side collection at some point in time, but actually PURCHASE a manga? Such trite passes as a story these days? I swear, you kids and your inability to read novels.
I read 100 novels every year, and my favorite writers are Proust, Cervantes and Shakespeare (who admittedly didn't write novels). I don't read comics because of any inability to read novels, I read comics because it's a legitimate medium for storytelling, as reading MAUS, Box-office Poison, or pretty much anything by Adrian Tomine will tell you. I'm guessing (and I am aware that I might be wrong here) that you've never read a manga book cover to cover, or at least not more than a few, and thus gotten this incorrect impression. I am aware that maybe you've read a lot of manga, but the fact remains that I don't read manga because of any mental limitations; I read it because it's a great medium for storytelling.

Death Note 10-12 finally finishing my set. I'm not sure whether I should get the 'BB case files' or number 13 (how to read) or 'Change the World' which isn't really manga.

I don't buy individual issues, but the last trade I bought was Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War Volume 1. It was pretty good.

Since I'm incredibly afraid of LAZORZ, I'll go and read it right now. I'm at volume 7.
Oh, and I just bought a paperback of Donald Duck comics.

I haven't bought a comic book in years. It would probably have been V for Vendetta about four years ago.

Really? I dare you to read my entire blog and say that I can't read novels. Go on... I only read 638+ (because I have a bunch more I didn't write up) books last year!

I think my most recent one was The Punisher vs The Marvel Universe #1. It was pretty good. The premise is that there is a virus effectively turning the whole Marvel universe into "zombies", and The Punisher takes it upon himself to hunt down Marvel's zombified heroes.

The book basically sets up a backstory to the infection, and tells you The Punisher's personal reasons. It starts off with The Punisher killing zombie Deadpool, on which he comments on it being the 36th time he'd killed him. Not much else happens, as it just sets the scene.

There is a good part however, where Spiderman tries to eat Rhino's face off.

This is the first of a four part series, and I'd recommend it. Probably not the best, but it's an interesting read.

Well, Escapist, what was the last comic book or Manga that you purchased?
OK, those are just comics but i know what you mean. If you mean like that, then i only ever bought DareDevil Vol. 2 because my dad had the first, but i never bought actual Manga. I have borrowed it from the library for LoZ and I'm on the 3rd(Majora's Mask)/9(Phantom Hourglass) books =D too bad they made it follow Wind Waker instead of Twilight Princess =(

Lets see, i got myself The Sword vol. 2-4, Iredeemable vol. 2, and i pre ordered the next installment of The Boys. If you like the dark yet silly humor and loades of violence that Garth Ennis usualy pulls off, The Boys are good reading, and Iredeemable is an interesting read, where a Superman equivalent goes nuts, and tries to wreck the world. The Sword Was something of a find tho, nice story and art, and i liked the consept, even tho i adent heard of the comic beforehand.
