Deus Ex MD: Hmm...One step forward one step back from Human Revolution. Fortunately, HR is my favourite game of all time, so it doesn't suffer that much in grading. Overall, I felt that the game had too much focus on the sidequests in the city hub, especially quests that repeatedly spanned across the two districts, forcing me to spend a lot of time on that damn metro. Plot was ok, but felt a tiiiiiny bit too short. Really, the game just needed one more actual Infiltration mission (the real fun of the game, where levels are built for many approaches) and it would have been near-perfect.

...Also, I gotta say, they nailed the final mission out of the freakin' park this time. HR was an amazing game, but the end was just so...Lackluster. MD on the other hand? Holy cow. Combat, stealth, trying not to set off a panic, a sadistic choice, a time limit near the end where if you were REALLY good you could actually save everyone...Freakin' perfect. THIS is how you close out a Deus Ex game. Make me USE all those neat gadgets I've been saving up the whole game! :D
That was the last game that I completed and I gotta agree.

I fucking love HR, but the ending was shit. It's pretty bad when all you need to do is one simple thing, go off to a corner where nothing can hit you, drink all the alcohol that you've been stock piling over the course of the game, and wait. Was a let down.

I loved the ending to MD and how the final level was fleshed out. The stealth was challenging, the choices were great and I genuinely felt bad making them, and there was a sense of urgency. The city stuff I didn't much care for, but there are a few notable exceptions and I thought they were great.

The city didn't really gel much with me, and I don't know why because I really liked the locations and the main city. There was stuff to do and places to go exploring, but there were certain times where I felt like I couldn't do them because of story reasons. A sense of urgency maybe? I dunno.

Still love MD, but I will always and forever love HR more.

The Beginner's Guide is less a game than in interactive experience. It was terrific. Last AAA game I beat was probably 2013's Tomb Raider. I'm playing the sequel now but I'm so divided. Got a metric ton of stuff for holidays and my birthday (And I'm thinking of getting the Switch) and can't focus!

If you haven't played The Beginner's Guide, you can likely find it cheap. You'll go through the whole thing in under 2 hours.

I've recently gotten to a point in Rimworld where I can build just about any kind of ship I'd like and take off, which is the game's main objective, but I just feel like sticking around, does that count?

The game's a Dwarf Fortress-lite in a sci-fi setting with some post-apo elements. I'd say the main advantages are simple, but serviceable graphics and the fact it actually runs on my trash PC even after the colony's expanded a bit, whereas DF with its baroque complexity has a way of eating up system resources in the lategame.

The last thing I've *really* completed was Ziggurat, an indie fantasy FPS roguelike dungeon crawler. You're an apprentice mage, you're supposed to get through several floors of a magical gauntlet to prove yourself. A pretty fun shooter game with a steep, but fair learning curve.

I guess the next thing I'll be wrapping up is probably the epilogue campaign for Shadowrun: Hong-Kong. I've only got the final mission left and I've kept it waiting for a while. The game's a third part (or more precisely, a free expansion thereto) of a modern classic-style isometric RPG franchise set in a hybrid cyberpunk/fantasy world. I probably don't need to say too much about it, Shadowrun is after all one of the greater KS success stories.

The Technomancer - brilliant.

Rough around the edges, hard work at times, but a wonderfully rich & fun (play rogue style for most fun combat IMO) RPG with that "magic" element we used to find in earlier Bioware games.

I raked up over 60 hours of play (a lot for me) and it just dripped with charm & atmosphere.

One for more emotive than mathmatical type players, but I've a PS4 and have owned TW3, Infamous Second Son, The Uncharted series, Deus Ex:HR, Valkeria Cronicles, Xcom 2 and many more and it's by far and away my fave game for the system so far.

Currently playing Bound by Flame by the same devs Spiders and loving it too :)

Broforce. The manliest of manly games. I picked it up in the Gog sale yesterday and beat sometime after midnight. I seem to have grown a third testicle. Seriously, this game is great fun.

Last Completed Game: Dishonored
I think it was Dishonored. I play free to play games for the vast majority of my gaming time so its been a long time since I've played a game that has an ending. Dishonored was GREAT! Its rare that I play through a game only to want to play it again a second time IMMEDIATELY and that's what I did with dishonored. As someone who generally dislikes stealth in games, I'd highly recommend Dishonored. It does stealth in a way that's still fun while making stealth optional to begin with. Loved it!

Current Game: The Witness
Tthank you humblebundle. I've only put around an hour into this game and I enjoy it so far. I'm nowhere near the point of being able to make a recommendation. It'll just be a pick up and play title for when the mood strikes me. No rush.

Actual current games:
Marvel Puzzle Quest (65% of my gaming)
The Elder Scrolls Legends (20% of my gaming)
Hearthstone (6% of my gaming)
Magic Duels (6% of my gaming)
The Witness (or whatever non-F2P game of the moment) (3% of my gaming)

Needless to say free to play gaming has basically been my life for the better part of 3 years.

last completed games: Uncharted 4 & The Last Guardian
(counted together because i finished them on the same day)

Uncharted 4 is, imo, the perfect way to close out Nathan Drake's story. i loved the game (though i've never been a fan of the series' combat & it's no different here, it didn't detract at all from the overall experience). what really stood out to me was the polish, characterization & animation. all were pretty spectacular. not to mention the series staple of incredible set-pieces. i even got all emotional at a few points towards the end. i really love the main protagonists & i was so happy with how the story progressed/ended.
before the epilogue i legitimately thought 'i hope Nate & Elena get to be happy & have a family/kids.' & then there was the reveal of Cassie for the epilogue & i was like 'hell. yes.' and she's adorable, too.

The Last Guardian was breathtaking. while i have some issues with the controls--namely the camera & platforming, & climbing on Trico--i still absolutely loved the game. i had zero issues with Trico's AI, & he's set a new bar for companion animals in games in terms of behavior & animation quality--when you watch him figuring out where to go/what to do you can basically see him think. i've seen people try to compare him to their dogs or cats to make a point about him not being smart/not listening... disregarding the fact that Trico is not a domesticated pet, he's a wild animal. he's barely trained by the end of the game. i thought his behavior was totally realistic in that sense.
i did get super upset/emotional over the end of this game, but even the epilogue didn't really hit me till i looked at fanart of the (adult) boy reuniting with Trico. i love that the end was open-ended enough for this to be a possibility.

as for what i'm currently playing... Twilight Princess HD. very slowly getting through it. i love the game (already beat it years ago on gamecube), but i have a big issue with the delay on wolf link's initial attack. it messes me up something fierce, dunno if i'll ever really get used to it. other than that, though, it's the same game it was back then, so i still enjoy it thoroughly.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
Rive. I ended up with it from the humble monthly but holy crap, its an awesome twin stick shooter with a pretty fun story and decent vo. The only issue with it is that the controls are a bit awkward, the jump button is one of the triggers which is weird to get used too but everything else about it is great.

Resident Evil 7, the game was a solid 8/10, it started very strong but unfortunately it got pretty ''meh'' once you get to the stranded boat about 75% in to the game.
