Batman: Arkham Asylum. I honestly felt pretty badass being able to take down whole hordes of mocking, cocky thugs without breaking a sweat.
High Fivez!~

Also Red Dead, I was pretty shocked at the end too. That's why I hated the other guy you use.

Planescape: Torment and Thief The Dark Project.

Most games simply have too poor a level of writing to be "immersive" for me.

I've always felt Bethseda games, awesome though they are, have serious immersion problems. As in, they achieve a level of realism that's close to full immersion, but not quite there, and that just makes me feel more uncomfortable about it. I think it's called uncanny valley or something
QFT! also the fact that characters have that stare to them that just freaks me out. and theres like 4 voices to go around.

Asides from that just treking through a dungeon with nothing but a knife and a torch and a fucking butt load of cur disease potions for company gets pretty fucking immersive to me!

Also I got really immersed in bad company 2 (Vietnam) today. I completely forgot i was sitting on a bed with a headset and was genuinely panicking and scrambling for my syringe when ever i saw someone die!

Plenty of games, too many to remember, mainly RPG's

Most recent game I played I was immersed in was Ghostbusters, I actually felt like a Ghostbuster, and the Rookie looks like me from behind which probably helped a little bit.

How could i forget those two games! Unfortunately, i wasn't able to finish planescape because of a "little problem" i had with a quest. Killed someone i shouldn't, but the game didn't warn me he was important, i swear!

Now, thief 2 is my favorite. It's like the first one, but they did something i didn't think it was possible: it felt like it was better!

I get immersed in any game where I get to create my own character and have customisation options during the game. I'm a sucker for creating characters. Most recently the game that has had me immersed is Dragon age 2.

This is going to sound silly but Super Mario Sunshine. Seriously I don't know why, it just sucked me in like a thing.

Persona 4 had me from the get go to!

Haven't played the second. Gave up on one when it decided that stealth sucked and give me a level where I fight dinosaurs instead.

I played Silent Hill 4 for the first time, my girlfriend watching, and that little kid who pops up towards the end of loading screens creeped the hell out of us, even with the brightness setting turned up and the lights on. I need to put that back in later tonight.
