Starwish. It made me realize what a low standard we've been holding our AAA studios to. If a single developer can make me feel more emotions from a video game than just about any AAA developer beyond square enix at its BEST, then I have to ask what kind of standard we hold the video game industry to.

Borderlands. It's my second playthrough of this character, and probably my...5-6th playthrough total, maybe even more than that. Sure, it's not a great story or anything, but it's a fun shoot 'em up with a bit of humor in it. I really like the game, it's a nice change of pace from all of the "realistic" and cover based shooters out there, and it doesn't even involve America and it being invaded (joy!).

No One Lives Forever 2

I loved it. Good action, good stealth, lulzy story, charming characters. It's basically a great game in every way.

Portal 2. And I fucking loved it. It was simply fun. The puzzles were less than challenging at their hardest, but the game was still extremely entertaining.

That would be... Knights of the Old Republic.
Overall, a good game, but not absolute stand-out stuff. The animation took a few steps in the right direction with combat and such, but a couple of handwaving elements (cortosis weave in everything? I wanna rend blasters, damnit!) and a meh ending forced it out of the true classics section. Looking forward to KotOR II and some of the mods in that, though.

Fallout: New Vegas.

Didn't really like FO3 all that much, but I was pleasantly surprised by New Vegas.

I could make a list of everything they improved that rubbed me the right way, but right now, I'm just going to list the one that sticks out in my mind the most: They FINALLY had the decency to give us a proper final boss.

God, that annoyed me SOOO much about FO3.

Knights of the Old Republic, for the first time.

Eaarg.

It got better toward the end, but on the whole I think it's overrated. The Big Twist was rather clever but beyond that it didn't have much to offer. Also, the game wears the Star Wars setting like a drowning man wears cement shoes.

Most of the time I just wanted to delete it and play Mass Effect instead.

Bioshock, it was excellent. Next one will be Homefront, which is just absolute shit. I expected it to be bad, but not this absolutely shit.

Portal 2 and i absolutely loved it.

Brutal Legend. I think it's extremely underrated and I'm sad to hear it sold so badly. It's very unique, and with all the work that went into it, like voices and songs from amazing bands and rock stars, it's just a crying shame it's all gone unnoticed. Being a heavy metal fan, I can't see why I didn't pick it up earlier.
i'm playing it now and i have to agree with you.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. It always surprises me that gog.com's game range has more intelligence and developmental care in them than today's top 10 list.

Deus Ex. The original.

I like the thought they put in the game (they thought of EVERYTHING) and I like the relative flexibility of the gameplay, considering its contemporaries. It was my first time playing through the game; I played as a pacifist, killing not a single human during the entire campaign. What a rewarding game! That being said, its graphics have aged horridly. All the textures have a weird dithering effect, the character models all look the same, the environments are bland and the UI is... late nineties. Fine game. Looks like shit! Go play it!

And now that I played the original, I'm ready to be disappointed by the prequel I had somehow just heard of midway playing through the game.

The last game I finished was the original STALKER. It was, surprisingly, very tense and scary. There's nothing like creeping through The Zone, hunting your prey while simultaneously making sure someone's not doing the same to you. And the artifacts! Best buff system ever, in my opinion. All the artifacts had some sort of downside, most of which can be fatal...I got lucky and had a set which gave me incredible bonuses, while nullifying each other's debuffs. I also found a gun that ended up staying with me through most of the game. Obviously, I really liked it.
Now, I'm playing Mount & Blade and Minecraft while I decide if I want to replay Dragon Age: Origins, or replay Arcanum.

Last game I finished was Assassin's Creed 2, damn good game but the ending confused the hell out of me. They may as well have put in a troll face with a caption telling me to buy Brotherhood to find out what happens.

InFamous

Yeah sure it was no Sly Cooper, but it was still a fun game with a storyline that eventually picked up later on and started to become interesting.

Bioshock 2. I watched Bioshock: Infinite gameplay and decided I had to play its predecessors before it came out (Otherwise I would've felt like some kind of Bioshock poser). And I'm glad I did, because both are freakin' sweet.

inFamous 2.

I did the good play through and I gotta say the last few hours or so really got me going since the story up until then was kinda dragging a little. I'm gonna start the evil play through next and I'm hoping it's just as good. The game did make me feel like a badass since I had more powers than I knew what to do with and I didn't use some of them, but I think Cole was a little overpowered. Not that I minded.

My second play-through of Dragon Age 2. My most recent thought? Damn the ending for this game sucks.

The overall story is lame but I liked the characters and dealing with them. I got Fenris and Anders to max rivalry.

Replayed Dragon Age-Origins and Awakening.
I've played and almost beat it with every type of character... except MAGE. It seems 10 times more difficult when i try it as a Mage.... but my favorite play-through so far would be Female, Noble, Fighter: sword and shield.
Bow down to your new queen Rose!

Braid. And it was too grueling for me to play again, I think... I normally like puzzles, but this was so mind bendy, I relied on a walkthrough multiple times.
