I heard about the FPS "remake" and I had one thing to say: "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"daveman247 said:xcom is looking pretty damn goodJohnny Impact said:snipBoth the single and multi player.
Blatant cash grabs facilitated by the attachment of venerated, iconic brand names to sub-par, astonishingly uninspired productions having, in fact, nothing whatsoever to do with the original game are a serious insult to the very people they're trying to sell the game to. Imagine if there was "a new Half-Life game" that wasn't made by Valve and turned out to be electronic checkers. Someone would die for that. There would by lynchings. Unfortunately many gamers are young enough never to have experienced the original XCOM. Poor kids won't know the difference.
Then I heard some other company was making a new version that would stay true to the overhead, turn-based squad system, and keep the global management sim intact, and I felt better.
Then I heard that "some other company" was Firaxis, and I knew everything would turn out all right.
