Im talkin a straightforward horror movie
not The Cabin In the Woods, not Zombieland(<these are good movies though)
Something that is saying this is happening and there is no levity to be had here.
Ill settle for an okay film.

Ill say The Midnight Meat Train

Hands down, its Drag Me To Hell. Scary and a good bit of funny thrown in to make a pretty fantastic movie. Ending was a little obvious, but it was still a hell of a trip to get there.

Last released, or last one I saw? Because I haven't watched many recent horror films. Probably the most recent that I enjoyed was "Hatchet", and that was released 6 years ago.

For the last one I saw, though, it would be Ginger Snaps, which came out in 2000, but I only got around to seeing it yesterday. Although its success was less as a horror movie and more as a teen drama film.

The most recently made one would be 1994's In The Mouth of Madness, the one I most recently saw would be Polanski's The Tenant. My favorite scene in any horror movie? The blind piano teacher crossing the plaza in Argento's Suspiria.

Does "dead snow" count? Because if so, that.

But seeming as I doubt it counts, probably "insidious". Although that could be just because it had a fairly interesting concept, some "nice" imagery, and it was hilarious to see my horror-phobic friend react to it.

That was good. Classic Raimi, a "the audience must suffer" rollercoaster ride of mindf*** imagery and simple, good timing and plot.

I'd go Insidious, since I've had sleep paralyses and the hallucinations I've had were oddly similar to how they described the spirits in that film... o_O

Scariest of all time is still The Ring, though. I can't even have a TV in my bedroom anymore after seeing that. xD

I'll say the woman in black just because I genuinely enjoyed it. It's funny though because I only jumped at the wrong moments due to how loud the sound was.

I loved Drag Me To Hell. I've never felt more sorry for the victim. SHE DID NOTHING WRONG!

Well, maybe killing the kitten, but...

Anyway, horror is my favorite genre. Most recently released one that I really enjoyed was "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark", though it wasn't scary. Most recent one that I've seen that I enjoyed was "A Tale of Two Sisters".

That's probably the same for me too. I'd seen the play a few years before so I knew the premise but I thought it was still pretty damn good.

I thought that one was going so well until the final act. It just devolved for me and got silly.

Yeah, I wasn't keen on the ending or the last scenes. It sorta went from Paranormal Activity to a Freddy Kruger movie. :/

the last one that I saw that was any good? I would say the one I watched 2 days ago was pretty good. It's a South Korean one called Wishing Stairs. Basically creepy ghost girl in a Korean boarding school. I am currently avoiding mirrors because I think Kim So-hee is going to walk up behind me.

I watch a lot of horror and the only stuff that really scaries me now is Japanese stuff because they do really good ghost stories that freak me out.

Last horror movie I saw was Prince of Darkness by Jon Carpenter. It wasn't amazing like The Thing, but it had interesting presentation.

The Pact!

Saw it 2 weeks ago and I thought it was pretty good even though it was less "horror" and more "hey watch this annoying blonde woman be flung about like a rag doll while dramatic music plays" but it was still good...

Last Released. Donner Pass. It is a smart horror movie with well rounded characters. Sure it follows cliche and you pretty much know who the big bad is 30 seconds after meeting them, as well the death order for the principal cast, but it's still a fun movie.

Last viewed: Last House on the Left Remake. It did not shift tone like the first one. It started dark and pretty much remained that way throughout.

Sounds about right. I definitely got a 80's slasher flick towards the end. With the magic of CGI they could've made anything; they went with the same house with the lights turned down and a smoke machine. WTF. That one and Last Exorcism both killed another wise good movie with terrible endings.

You mean Woman In Black?

I saw that in the cinema with my girlfriend as a first date. To her credit, she handled horror movies quite well. Couldn't say that much for the rest of the theatre. The rich guy's house is a house that's around where I live, so Daniel Radcliffe kept coming into the pub.
