Red!

Alakazam
Charizard
Gyarados
Venusaur - traded
Zapdos
Sandslash

...but i did basically only use Alakazam. He is extremely badass!
I love Alakazam too, but he really is a glass cannon.

Hmm, my last team was in Pokemon Platinum. Don't know the exact levels since I can't exactly find it at the moment(though I pray to God I do, I like it a lot). Anyway my team was:

Infernape
Lucario
Staraptor
Luxray
Roserade
Gastrodon

I would occasionally switch out Lucario with Glaceon, but not too much. Liked this team very much, especially Lucario and Infernape. Haven't gotten the gen 5 games yet, trying to just hold off on that for a bit.

Sigh, I still remember the very first time I played Pokemon Red and got to the Elite Four with nothing but my Blastoise and Raichu(possibly). Seems so long ago...

Can anyone recommend me a FireRed team to build? I like to concentrate on making a team focused on Speed, so I might have Dugtrio and Electrode, though I don't know since it's been forever since I worked with original pokemon. I also don't generally give a shit about Grass-type pokemon or legendary pokemon you get when you're almost done with the game anyway.

My Black team:

Galvantula: My team leader and a serious badass
Excadrill: My second in command
Archeops
Samurott
Chandelure
Druddigon: I think I'm going to replace him, he hasn't been carrying his weight.

If you can get your hands on a Light Ball Pikachu/Raichu it can be a formidable attacker. Not as fast as Electerode but with the Light Ball packs a massive punch.
Starmie is fast and can learn thunderbolt, ice beam and surf and has the stats to use them effectively.
Although you're not fond of grass types, Venasaur can come in handy with it's access to Poison/Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, it can take hits really well and can deal damage while healing itself with Giga Drain.
Also, if you can get your hands on a Gengar then by all means get one.

In Sapphire:

Swampert (water)
Aggron (steel & rock)
Magcargo (rock & fire)
Altaria (flying & dragon)
Flygon (ground & dragon)
Lantern (water & electricity)

I love hybrid Pokémon. So much more versatile. Especially Magcargo and Lantern. I can put them up against something that is their weakness and still win.

End game, I usually get a low-level marril and teach it most of the HM's I'll need, and have a Rayquaza on my team, mostly replaces Flygon.

So my last team is, let's say disappointing. It's in white.

I'm working on it, but I'm having difficulty finding good pokemon who feel awesome.

So far I have:

Pokemon #1
Simisage - He's got thumbs up, but feels lacking.

Pokemon #2
Zebstrika - She seems powerful, fast and have a fire type move too for kicks.

Pokemon #3
Emboar - He's my starter, he's going no where. But he'd be staying anyway due to the fire beard.

Pokemon #4
Seismitoad - Ugly, weak feeling, ugly as sin, POS who I actually hate. But I (think that I) need a water type and can't get Gyarados until after the elite 4 :(

Pokemon #5
Stoutland - Tough bastard, who deals pretty good damage, immune to ghost, has crunch and a fucking massive moustache.

Pokemon #6
Reuniclus - I love him. He's awesome, does mass damage, and with a shell bell never dies. I'll get trick room for someone one day so he's not so slow.

Any suggestions for replacing Seismitoad and possibly Simisage. Also, I'm only playing PvE not PvP.

In pokemon black...

Flygon
Hydreigon
Gengar
Minccino
Butterfree
and Reshiram

I always hated using legendaries but i thought it was okay in black cos it's part of the story. :3

Not exactly sure and im not getting up to check but whatever the last form of emboar is in black. I stopped playing because many of my pokemon are stronger then all the ones in the wild so it would be a huge grind to get them to level 100.

Mewtwo, Lugia, Golem, Machamp, Gengar and... one of the legendary birds. Not sure if Zapdos or Articuno. Or maybe it was Staryu? Either Zapdos or an ice or water one.

Online (With Nicknames):

Empoleon - Grif
Xatu - Thane
Tyranitar - Tali
Dusknoir - Niko
Honchkrow - Carmine
Swampert - Bill

Before you ask, Its a trick room team. I have yet to fully test it in the B/W online (but I have tested it in Battle Revolution Online).
May i ask how do you fair competitively ( on pbr )? Im curious because of xatu and honcrow , i can't really see those 2 being usefull due to their stats other than xatu setting up trick room and maybe using explosion right afterwards
Honchkrow has great offences, with a little from the move Protect, He is ready once Trick Room is set up. Low Speed is helpful and he can be a good mixed sweeper.

Xatu works as well for setting up the Trick Room but sort of stands as an "Unexpected" use of it. I give him a focus sash to allow him to survive the hits and give him a quiet nature, as well as access to Wish and Synchronize. If he dies, I have Dusknoir to back him up for the Trick Room.

The only time I lose is when:
My luck bites me in the balls (Critical hits to me all the time)
Legendaries on the enemy team (Big ones such as Darkrai or Mewtwo)
Someone just has a better team

I have had success with this team.

The last one I was playing was an all poison team on Blue version. Beedrill was suprisingly useful.
I think I had a beedrill, ivysaur, grimer, weepingbell, zubat and nidoking.

Eh... to lazy to go and check, but in my White I was in the middle of evolving some Unova 'mons before moving on to the classic 'mons. I think my team was Pawniard, Deino, Rufflet, Larvesta, Zekrom, and my main 'mon, Cinccino (fuck you, chinchillas are awesome).

I have a friend, who's trying to beat the game, using the saddest team he can think of. It consists of Delibird, Sunflora, Dunsparce, and... I forget the rest. But it's hillarious.

I had a team of nothing but Dragonites traded in from another copy of the game. Why, you ask? because of this:

Also: What is that? LD[sub]50[/sub] nviui?
Thanks for that man, so fucking awesome.

Anyway the last time I played I had a Bulbasour, Squirtle and one of those giant rats. Dam that must have been 6 years ago. Are Emulators of old games legal? If so then I may go back to the old games.

I like to have a balanced or a tailored team, but usually I end up with 2-3 favs, and the last 3 revolve.
However I am currently in the early parts of LeafGreen and FireRed, so I dont have as much to use.
FireRed:
Charmeleon
Butterfree
Pikachu
Geodude
Pidgeotto
Clefairy

LeafGreen:
Bulbasuar
Beedrill
Spearow
Pidgey
Rattata
Pikachu
