I'm absolutely loving the HB series and can't get enough of them.

It's fantastic! I got Weird Tales Vols 1 & 2 for Christmas and they're just so quirky and wonderful. :3

I can't wait to get to those ones. I'll be honest and say it was the movies that turned me on to Hellboy's universe and character but though the books differ in many ways, they have even more of the same blending of sarcastic humor and dark fairytale atmospheres that I loved about the movies so much. Here's hoping they go through with Hellboy 3.

Yep, I started with the movies, too. And I'm glad to see that stylistically the movies don't differ from the graphic novels (as you say in sarcasm and dark fairy-tales). I really think Del Toro has a massive part to play in that - his films are always so touchingly...different.
