How long did you left your PC/console on? Why? Did something happen to it?

Edit: If you're interested in checking, you can run 'cmd' and then paste this: systeminfo | find "Up Time"

I left my Wii on for 3 weeks when I was playing Twilight Princess. I never had much time to play, and since it takes time to turn on the system and start up the game, I decided to just leave it on and pause. I turned it off after I beat it.

It's been on for over 24 hours (PC) for a big WoW binge back when AV took hours, then I had to download a patch which failed a few times so I left it onthat night to sort itself out.

Back in 2000, I left my Play Station on for 2 weeks while my family went on holiday. I was playing Resident Evil and didn't have any ink ribbons left.

I got a bollocking, needless to say O.O'

Uhhh... I've left my pc on for more than a month before... just because I didn't feel like turning it off.
Yeah done that before.
I think mine was about... 40 odd days but then we had a power cut during a thunderstorm ><
but it's not the longest i've seen
at one place where i worked the rail planner comp (thats all it has on it and it runs 95/98)
it's left on for over 200 days sometimes

I left the PC on for a full week once - the folks were away on holiday at the time so I was using the opportunity to do some heavy downloading. Nothing untoward happened besides it running slower the longer it was left on for. I was a lot younger then and a bit naive so certain things didn't cross my mind, such as the fact that my folks electricity bill would quite substantial after all that time.

Still, that pales in comparison to it being on for 33 days! :O

Not very long, about a schoolweek maximum, but it went to sleep everynow and then. My PS2 lasted a night whilst i was playing star wars: bounty hunter.

I've left my 360 on for a whole movie one time, but it promptly red-ringed, and I never saw it again...

No, seriously, my wife leaves it on, I try to get her to shut it off when she's done for fear of it breaking somehow. For my computer, I usually leave it on until I need a reboot after updating or uninstalling.

My MacBook's been "On" for... 3 months now?

I just haven't bothered to turn it off, nor install any updates. Of course, it has been asleep (with the clamshell closed) for a large portion of that. It has an actual uptime of 14 days at the moment.

I forgot to mention, I generally don't turn off my PC, except for some hardware or major software change so I surely had higher uptime, just didn't remember to make a screenshot. I restarted few times since I bought it - in November xD

Depends on what you mean by "on." 1 day if you mean "In usable state" but I leave my pc with power going through it all the time, just in standby mode, that's for a few months running now.

I think once I left my old PS1 on for a week or so. Forgot to turn it off, and then family went on a trip. Luckily, it still works fine.
