Biggest change was getting a job and living alone... My current goal, is to quit my job and go to college... But, I have too much stuff, and no one to help look after it all...

I'm going back to finish high school. I dropped out last year for the very reason that I don't want change. Change is one of the cornerstones of my depression. I don't want it, and I've been kicking and screaming (okay, more like staying in my room telling everyone to fuck off) on and off for the past 8 years.

I'm constantly being told that "High school is the hardest part" and "after you're done, you can do anything you want" or some horseshit like that. No, I cant do what I want. I don't want a job, I don't want responsibilities, I just want to sit around on the computer all day. But that's not an option. So I've been slowly sabotaging myself by screwing up school in some futile attempt to keep things the way they were. Yes, I know it's stupid, and I didn't fully realize until just a month or two ago that that was the reason.

Now, I'm trying to man up, go back and finish, but I'm certainly not happy about it.

Yeah, I'm actually looking forward freshers. The student who took us on a guided tour of the university actually said, "freshers about getting fucked... and getting drunk." This painted quite a picture in my mind as to the fun in store.

And I don't love the law, I'm not even sure why I'm doing it to be honest. Mainly because lawyers get PAID(!!!), but frankly I've never been one for hard work and may have chosen the wrong course.

But fuck it! I'm in now and I'll just have to give it my best.

Where are you going? I'm going to Southampton.
.....I like that description of Freshers. I'm looking forward to it a lot. Lol seriously all you're supposed to do is have fun and get to know people. So, drink and get fucked.

:D

Heh well you'll soon find out how much you like it, just go for it. You never know it might be your favouritest thing ever and you'll love every moment. And you get paid.

As for me, I'm going to WarWick. The list of upcoming events in the SU look really good, I', exited ^_^

Well, I changed my entire world view. Rebalanced a few things, decided it took more balls to risk looking like a fool than to say nothing.

Talking to people about some things got much easier, much quicker. There were teething problems, I felt stupid a lot, but in the long run, it was better.

Well. I don't really make massively life changing decisions, since my life hasn't progressed very far yet. I chose subjects for next year, my first year of VCE, and I applied for a job. I asked my friend out on a date. And I think I might dye my hair purple.

Is it weird that the last thing is probably the most daunting for me? And the biggest risk? Because honestly, I don't care about the subjects I'm doing next year, or whether or not I get a job. My friend isn't the type to make things awkward even if he says no to me. But if the dye-job screws up, then I'll have...screwed up hair.

Hm, I'm currently facing 9 months of Red Cross work starting in October. Probably a huge change seeing as I was a student just 4 months ago.

And I'm getting my driver's licence. I count that as adventure in a city where speed limits are a suggestion and caring about other drivers a joke. Seriously, you stall the engine on your first lesson in regular traffic (in a clearly learner-labelled car) you get so much honking hate it's not funny.

Well, I'm planning on doing something big, I need a change. I just don't know what yet...
Same here, after a couple years of extreme change, I've noticed that I'm falling into routine... =P I'm considering taking up an extra sport, or getting some new friends.

Warwick, nice. I wanted to go there but could only really justify 2 AAA applications so it fell by the wayside in favour of my home town (Bristol) and Southampton. I don't think I know anyone going there myself, but my teacher's son went there and had a great time of it. And it's a hella good university according to ranking tables and whatnot so kudos, it can't have been easy to get in. A friend of mine applied to Warwick and Cambridge, got an offer from Cambridge and got rejected by warwick (ended up at Cardiff) so it's pretty damn prestigious.

Also, Warwick has a pretty awesome castle. I know that makes no difference, just saying.

I don't really know much about the treats on offer from the SU in Southampton, for some reason they haven't sent me a thing yet. I hope they know who I am when I turn up...

Well, I've had a bit of relationship trouble (It's all unrequited, so I'll spare you the angsty details), and now that I've confessed to my school that I'm gay, I have a lot more self-confidence.

Before that, I realized I was an atheist. It was more of a subtle change though, as I never thought much about religion to begin with.

My goal is to be successful. I actually think it's possible, because of this:

During 7th grade, I was selected for a thing called DukeTIP, which basically asks you to take the SAT early to see how well you stack up to High School graduates. I had the highest score in the district, and even got to be on TV! Well, okay, it was just one of those school/education channels, but whatever. This basically gives me a lot more free reign on my colleges (can probably go to any I want), and means I've gotten some letters asking me to move to a college preperatory or private school.

So yeah, I have high hopes.

I made a pretty major change in my life. I went from being a miserable, lifeless boy to being an overall happier, alive, girl.

Last major change of my life? Going back to college at age 31. I'm on track to graduate in 2012 from the University of Nevada. GO WOLF PACK!

I want to go to London in 2012 to see the Olympics. I don't have the money for it yet, and the person at whose house I was going to stay said she wouldn't be living there in 2012.
Doesn't look to bright, but that's the next big thing.
Besides going to college next year.

Ah Bristol and Southampton are good, I know people going to both (Y). And cool, I am looking forward to it a lot - My application was three As though, so not as high as Oxbridge :)

Hey, of course it makes a difference! A castle is ALWAYS a good addition, no matter the situation! Castles are cool :D

Heh well WarWick have sent me nothing at all, I checked it out on the SU's website. If Southampton has a site dedicated to its SU check it out there, they'll probably not send you anything directly yet :)

This girl convinced me to ride 3/4 of the mountains in Disneyland during a summer teen tour in California this year.
That girl taught me to try in life. Bless her.
