I remember the first DVD we ever brought. We had just gotten an Xbox and it came with a DVD peripheral. So we figured we should buy a DVD, so my Dad went down to the shops, and later returned with a copy of superman 2. That was the first DVD we ever owned.

The Matrix - Got it along with my PS2 (first DVD player) to see what the fuss was about.

I liked it a lot, they should make a squeal someday.

Yeah it's weird how they never did make one. It was so good and successful, it just dosen't make sense.

The Star Wars Classic Edition DVD Box Set. It was the movies the way they were seen originally, none of this CGI bullshit which fails to blend in. I also had a surround sound system as well.

That or maybe Top Gun.

I had just gotten a PS2 at teh time and played everything on that.

How to Be A Gentlemen - Part Three: Coffee and Domesticated Violence.
Starring Richard Dean Anderson and Stephan Segal.

I made a bad call on that one.

I think Men in Black? back in 1999. I guess that was the first that my family bought, so I count it. Can't believe how much has changed in 10 years...

I remember people thought DVD would never replace VHS... yea.

hate to tell you the Classic series sans CGI was never released in a boxset form, only the new expanded edition or the Greedo shot first edition. easy way to tell is if Jabba the Hut is in A New Hope, if he is then you have a CGI'd up version of it

as for me, it was Tool's Salival or Enter the Dragon, depending on how you want to look at it
