I'm 16, and my first gaming system was a Game Boy Advance. One of the ones without backlighting, so I remember the struggles to get the screen to be lit well. I ended up buying a $10 flip-down light for it which worked well.

My first home console was a GameCube. However, I never really got into console gaming until I got an Xbox and Halo 2. Before that, I'd been a PC gamer. I played the first Half-Life in my dad's lap when I was 5 or 6.

I'm 22. The first system my family owned was a 64, but the first system I played was either a SNES or an original Playstation. They had both at my primary school's after-school-care. Donkey Kong Country, Robocop and Crash Bandicoot :D

I'm 28 and my first system was the NES(or Famicom, depending on where you're from). My parents bought it for me as an incentive to do well in school and keep up with my studies. This was shortly after they found out about my ADD. They didn't put me on Ritalin though. I was taught to keep a mini-notebook to keep my attention on what was needed. When I did well in keeping myself in track(and I always did) they let me have a certain amount of time with my controller and zapper(sorry for the personal history, just wanted to add context for my love of the NES). That was a wonderful machine. Why aren't consoles today as tough as the NES and even the SNES were. Also, where is my Xbox 360 light gun? Ahh the memories.

17, and an SNES at my daycare when I was 5 or so. The first console I ever owned was an N64 at the age of 6. My Dad bought it for me for christmas, but he got all the games used, so when I first started up Ocarina of Time, he told me all the existing saves were Santa's elves testing out the product.

Colecovision, I had one with the ADAM module which among other things allowed the Coleco to play Atari 2600 games.

I'm 23, which means that my first system is actually older than I am, because the Coleco came out in 1982, and I was born in 1988.
