I've only gotten one and that was for Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (Megadrive for other regions.)

Almost every trophy required a bare minimum amount of playing for most of the collection. (collect a bunch of rings in the first level of Sonic, beat level 1 in a bunch of games, etc.)

Since I just wanted to try a bunch of games out, I quickly noticed that I had gotten roughly 80% of the trophies within a couple weeks. Having never gotten more than 40% in any other game, I was determined to get the few that were left over (something all games should do with that trophy system, in my opinion.)

Only two were troublesome:
Getting the E-Swat armor in E-Swat.
And.. beating the entirety of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. That had to be the biggest hell I've ever put myself through in a game..

The original inFamous, with the HD remaster of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus being the second. Don't have any other Platinum tropies besides those.

First Platinum was in Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time.
Second was Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando.
Third was Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal.
Did I mention I like Ratchet and Clank?

My first was the absolutely wonderful DanganRonpa for the vita.

It would have been Persona 4: Golden, but I still haven't gotten that "Rise's Biggest Fan" or whatever. I've pretty much given up on it.

Either Assassin's Creed 2 or Uncharted 2...neither of which were particularly fun to get. Goddamn feathers >_>

Assassin's Creed 2. Wasn't too difficult.

My only other Platinum is for Okami HD. Goddamn fishing minigame was the worst, since it's pretty much random which fish you get, and you need to catch one of each kind for a trophy. Probably spent 5 hours on that alone. I'd gotten all the stray beads before on the PS2 version, so that wasn't so bad.

I haven't got any platinums on my PS3 games (haven't bothered to replay any yet), but the Xbox equivalent (all achievements) for me would be Oblivion, though the first game I got over 1000 gamerscore on was Halo 3.

I'd hate to ask this, but, what is a platinum trophy?
On the PS3, it's the trophy you get after unlocking every other bronze/silver/gold trophy (although sometimes DLC related trophies don't count towards it), which at least for me is a rarity. Basically it's a 100% completion badge. It's just there for bragging rights.
Ahhh. Thanks for the info :)

I wondered why I got bronze/gold trophies in games popping up, but had no idea what they were for. I guess that's what I get for not using my PS3 enough. Thank you once again!

Sooo I'm getting with most people it's always either Uncharted or inFAMOUS. Is it because those are remarkably easy to get or they've just been around the longest?

I've played Okami to 100% on the PS2 but I would so do it all over again on the PS3! Wish I had it.

I imagine the latter, Uncharted and inFAMOUS were what among the first five system sellers (for the public) for the PS3?

Another vote for Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, as I bought it the same time as I bought my first PS3

My first was Mass Effect 2. That and ME3 are to date my only Platinums. There are a few games I'm only a couple trophies short on, but those last annoying, grindy trophies just aren't worth spending my time on. I like the trophies, but if I'm not having any fun gathering them, then I just won't bother.

Good old fashioned thread about your first gaming whatever - Platinum Trophy in this case.

I just got my first in God of War: Chains of Olympus, which is bundled for the PS3 in the God of War: Saga Collection.

Didn't even take more than 3 or 4 sessions, it's a pretty short game and if you're playing on Hard everything should unlock naturally, bar that pesky Challenge of the Gods, which I just did.

The runner up would be Assassin's Creed II. I got everything except the Trophy for collecting all feathers (and subsequently wearing the cape), which would've unlocked Platinum. But tracking those down is a pain in the ass and so far there's no good guide online.

What was your first Platinum?
If still matter I find the IGN map guide to be pretty useful when I did it about 5 days ago. Venice was still a pretty pain in the ass, so I separated everything by district, once I got all the feathers of that district I moved on the next one, get them all was about 2 4-5 hours sessions. And I have to tell you, it was not fucking worth it, not even for the archievement, I only did for the promise that I might get something good at the end (A nice scene and a useless cape were not enough for all the trouble) and mostly OCD's sake.
Also I did on the 360 and my PC to check the guide was in my room, so I just kept walking to my room to the living room back and forth which to be fair, was probably a decent enough exercise. So if your game is on PC or have you have a tablet for check it out or something then it will cut some time down.
I got around 50-60 feathers already. My main annoyance is that even if I were to use a guide at this point, I would need to check every single noted location since there's no way I remember which feathers I got and which I didn't.
Oh, there's that too. Nevermind Venice, That's the fucking biggest pain in the whole process. Well, there's no way around it, thought you might wanna check the DNA to see how many feathers there are left and where, sometimes you already complete full distrits in the big cities and this will help you narrow the search. In the smaller cities most of them are inside the city so start there for them and the outside save for later.
I'd forgotten that feathers get classfied by city/region, that should speed things up if I decide to Catch 'em All. Thanks!

My second game bought for the PS3 ended up getting me my first Platinum Trophy... It was okay, overall, give or take a few BS challenges that I'm so happy to never have to play [seriously] ever again...

Whoa! When did that update happen, if you don't mind me asking?

Arkham Asylum.

Man that was a huge pain. Riddler trophies plus challenges were not for me. Especially that hidden one which showed Arkham City.

Not sure exactly. I platinumed the game a few months after it came out. Either it had no trophy support at the time or trophies weren't a thing yet. I'm thinking it was the latter. Anyway, Criterion promised everyone would get credit for achievements earned pre-trophy and be awarded all the corresponding trophies. Then trophy support entered the game and none of us got any. Yeah, not doing all that shit again, Criterion, thanks for lying!

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. Love that game. The Platinum trophy was really grindy, but it wasn't hard at all. It didn't even feel like a grind until I got to the trophies that requires maxing out all the Lily Ranks. Most characters were pretty quick to max out; Neptune, Nepgear, Plutia and Peashy all start on good terms with most other characters, but Noire and the CPU candidates, particularly Uni and excluding Nepgear, took a while to max. Vert and Blanc were neutral, for the most part. Noire has some trust issues and thus starts with the lowest possible Lily Rank with most characters, though she's the third permanent party member you get, so she has a while to work on her ranks with the others, but her sister, Uni, has similar problems, but joins in the last chapter. Rom and Ram, the other candidates, also join with Uni, but with higher initial Lily Ranks.

If all this talk of Lily Ranks is confusing, they're like relationship values between the all-female party. Also, the Japanese word for "lily" is "yuri". Yeah, it's that kind of game.

I don't think there's a trophy for that. You mean the warden's secret office?
