Otherwise I'ld have to say Ocarina of time is the first I played with the intention of beating the game. All around those where the days...

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 for the PC. my dad is a gamer too, and he taught me how to play it. it was not only the first game i played, it is also the best. i might rebuy it on GOG.com when ive bought a ps3 slim.

The first games I played were Wolfenstein 3D and Monty Python's complete waste of time... incidentally this was the first and only time I faked illness to get out of school( and in case any of you are really thick, yes, it was so I could go home and play these games)

For the 648th time, Pac-Man, arcade cabinet in a Chinese restaurant, 1982. I was five and my mom gave me a quarter to get rid of me while she settled the check with Mr. Wong.

Pong. No I'm not that old, I just had an Atari 2600 when I was in kindergarten. I never got what all the fuss was over the 2600 version of Pacman, but then again I was 5.

Funny to see so many Sonic and Mario starters. I'm one of the two, I don't remember which.

I hate to be the search bar nazi this time... but yeah... i've answered this like, a dozen times. And its always the same.
Judging from your previous posts, I assumed that you actually take a sick pleasure in it... >_<

I'm embarrassed to say Age of Empires, although the first game that I really got into and enjoyed was Age of Mythology. I've kinda shunned RTSs since then, but I always run back to them when a new one comes out. I mainly only play them because my computer is so shit, so I can't handle all the good modable games T_T

It should probably be clarified whether we mean games played on some form of home entertainment system or in an arcade.

Since I am going to assume we mean home entertainment system, my first video game would be PONG. (EDIT: Since I saw it above, yes, I am that old.) My babysitter actually had one of the old clunky versions when I was a kid. As sad as it sounds, it was fun at the time because it was new.

Not quite sure, but the earliest name I can recall is the original Tetris or Prince of Persia. I think there were some before, but damned if I know what they were...
