What was your greatest gaming achievement of 2008?

I finally defeated General RAAM in Gears of War.

On Causal.

Because trying to defeat him on Hardcore is effing impossible; believe me, I've tried. I even used the glitch for the final boss fight and that didn't work either.

I bought a 360, now I get to play all the games that came out this year, all that's left on my list is Fallout 3 and I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be playing it tomorrow.

Beating Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (I had it since it came out, but kept restarting and going through periods of not playing it), now to beat The Shivering Isles.

Beating Call of Duty: World at War on Veteran difficulty (a first for me for any shooter on any platform!)
Beating Halo 3 on Legendary is also up there. It's been a pretty good year for gaming, all said and done.

Halo 3 crap: A legitimate Extermination (killed the entire other team, each within 4 seconds of eachother). I also got a Rampage/Perfection.. but that match was a bit one sided. (Rampage = at least 20 kills without dying, Perfection = At least 15 kills in a game and don't die once).

Lots of little moments with friends in Super Smash Bros. 64.

Another one joins the ranks of the GOOD gamers! (though I still play on my PS2, mainly because my guitar hero controller fits into a PS2 controller port instead of a USB, as I expected it to)

1. completing fable2 in 2 hours with almost all achievements
2. completing all left 4 dead campains on Expert + only having 2 more achievements to do on it
3. Mile high club which brought my COD4 to 1000Gamerscore whoop

No offense, but try it on co-op. One man gets the torque bow and another gets the longshot. Torque bow, headshot, repeat. We killed him before he even reached our barracade....on hardcore.

Yea I hated that part. I just decided to throw the little guy to the end by the tunnel, and actually found him. Was probably the most annoying achievement I've ever gotten.
