Now, brace yourself, this thread might not be for the faint of heart.
Now, I love creepypasta and other such things on the net, I love a good mystery such as unaudible videos and connected deaths, but sometimes we all find something that crosses a bridge.
But I'll get to the point. Within the last couple of months, I gained an interest in creepypasta, like I said, and as my interest grew, I would sometimes visit 4chan's /x/, to read stories of dangerous experiences and odd memories of the past. Although I have never contributed, and have never lurked the depths. Well, tonight, I couldnt sleep, so I started surfing around for a good read on my dying iPod, so at quarter to 3 at night I decide to pay /x/ a visit (stupid idea), and at one point I come across a creepy images thread.....
Now normally these don't affect me, so I scrolled down the thread, entertained by the wierd, not scary sights, clicking and zooming on some of the stranger ones out of morbid curiosity for the fine details of a mindfuck image, for example. Some of these images I had come across before. But the point is, I was unfazed by any of them, until a bright, sunny image caught my eye.
But even at the safe distance I had prepared for caution, I knew something was wrong...
So I nervously tapped the image, zooming out as it loaded...done, I slowly zoomed in from the side....
Then I saw it. Abort. Not time or place.
So I left to the first place everyone goes, heart pounding in shock. To google, I tappedthe search bar, mind racing, unable to find pleasant thoughts. Safari crashes. Re-enter, back to the thread, I go somewhere else, it crashes. Back to that thread! I go to the escapist inbox, I was quoted, check that, decide whether it's worth replying, and I scroll over to the forum box, safari crashes again. Back to the thread! Back to the inbox, check forums, nothing of interest.
And the image, I can't really remember, but my imagination still scares me. The premise is burned into my mind. I saved that thread as a "favourite". I'll revisit it when the sun has risen. I know my curiosity will bring me back...
So, ever had a disturbing experience on the Internet? Ever find yourself in the wrong part of town with only yourself to blame? Any images scarring your subconscious? Gather round the campfire and share with us your personal horror stories. How a well known creepypasta or creepy image affected you as an individual.
