Neverwinter Nights, man that game confused the hell out of me but after a while i got into it and had some serious fun.
I never managed to beat it though, the lizard men in the last part fot he game were retardedly strong, and the amulet that you are given is only usable by level 20 characters and I was only 18 and had nothing to grind.

For me, it was Final Fantasy VIII at the tender age of 7. Since then, I've compared every other RPG I play to it.

What was yours fellow gamers?
Rings of Power for the Megadrive. It seems like the biggest and most confusing game. I had a notebook to write everything down. Pretty involved with that. Never did complete it. Must revisit...

My very first RPGs were the demos of System Shock (1994) and Bioforge (1995). The first RPG I had bought was Stonekeep (1995). Stonekeep is more of a standard RPG where Bioforge was more an experimental sci-fi puzzle solver. The all still hold a very special spot in my sentimental heart.

Pokemon Blue. Best goddamn game ever!
For a console, it was FFIX and at the time, when I was 10, it just confused me lol

Pool of Radiance.

If I hadn't started playing that game when I was six, you people would be making me feel old.

Did you ever try the Diablo II Adventure Game Campaign Setting for DND (released in 2000)?
