America.....
We're not all gung-ho for the talent show about being the best, or being badass. At least not where i live. here people are nonchalant and uncaring of most things.

The US military invented the internet, NOT Al Gore.
Al Gore invented The Information Super Highway and everyone else called it the internet.
That sounds nice. Lets all start calling the internet the information super highway. It sounds so stupid, that it's kinda cool.

Wow. I was at the sonisphere festival (Metallica is the main performer there) on Saturday. IMO, the setlist here was a bit better (just having creeping death and fade to black in it did the trick plus I kinda like hate The memory remains).

Love it. This seems to be the American stereotype for England
I had ski instructor ask wheres my top hat. I instantly replied where's your hamburger and mobility scooter? It shut him up.

In England
- We once considered America a possible threat (Just after WWI)
- We were actually involved in WWI and WWII (Unlike what all hollywood films and american video games would lead you to believe, it was not just amercia vs Japan and Nazi germany).
- We Invented the first programable electronic computer. Unfortunatly because we used it to win a war it was hushed up and the americans did what they do and claimed they invented it.
- We invented the World Wide Web (not the internet, thats an infastructure the americans actually did make, but with help from others). AL GORE DID **** ALL!
- The world's first radio station was on the Isle of Wight.
- England produced the first programmer, who was a woman, Ada Lovelace.
- Created the MP3 player.
- DNA fingerprinting was an english invention.
- English people do not wear those silly one piece bathing suits you see in chitty chitty bang bang.
- If you ever say a brummie is from the black country ( An area in the west midlands made famous during the industrial revolution that is next to Birmingham), it is the last thing you will ever say, ever. The same goes for saying Black Country "folk" are brummies.
- The black country has its own tartan.
- Scotland (a place wideley regarded for having haggis and kilts and drunken behaviour) Invented GTA.
- England (or the UK) pretty much invented all forms of mass media.
- very few people have afternoon tea.
- The only people with "British Teeth" are the upper class aristocrats.

No you never. The TV was a Scottish invention.

Debatable. There's an American who worked on the same principle at the same time.
Ah, never knew that. But the point of my post was that the English never invented it, contrary to what Sparrow Tag claimed.

The Inventor of the steam train I think it was lived in my town :) And theres a brick train on the outside of the town on the bypass and also a railway museum where Thomas the Tank Engine comes to visit every so often. :)

Yeah, I understood that. I believe that a number of people were working on the principle of 'television' at the same moment. The data on the precise inventor is kind of fuzzy.

We Finns don't ride polar bears.

Finland isn't always cold. The temperature's around 24C right now.
I think people already know that. Um.

Every Finn knows this saying, which tells a lot about us;
If a stranger smiles at you, he/she is either drunk or a foreigner.
Very true. I never smile at anyone really.
Are you a teetotaler?
Actually, yes I am. Very rare in Finland.
Maby you should start drinking.

I mean, what else is there?

There is a town named Hell here. It's in Michigan. They even have special "tax season" mail stamps (as in, "Taxes from Hell").

I stand corrected. And here I was correcting others.

At least we beat the States. Heh heh heh...
