what weapons would you use against zombies?

well? what kind of weapon/weapons would you use to fend off a horde of hungry Zombies? can be anything from guns, blades, fire, ect. try and think of whats best, and then whats most bad ass! (gotta look awsome infront of the scared onlookers or the hell are you doin outside?)

personally i'd follow the Zombie Survival Guide and roll with a M1A1 carbine, a USP .45 handgun with silencer and laser, and a machette for survival. and for looks i would definitly go with either a G36C (silencer, laser, vertical foregrip and Eotech sight) or a Kriss TDI Super V submachine gun with same attachments. (both guns would most likely not be recomended by the ZSG due to plastic parts.) for a secondary, would go Desert eagle, gold if possible , and my final weapon, would be "Blood And Thunder" by Mastodon blasting in the background.

EDIT: Come to think of it I could use my Covenant issue Energy Sword to kill them, after all it reduces the flood to mere fleshy chunks and they are like super power zombies so regular zombies would have no chance.... yet more evidence that the Sangheili are superior to humans when it comes to zombie killing.
Also we are reptiles and cannot be infected by the virus.

preferably, I'd try to loot a guys riot gear, I trudged my fat form from home to school for over a decade, chances are I can hold the shield in the way of the clumsy fools better than the lot of you. It might not be great all the time but for the few times it IS useful I'll be glad I have it. I already have a machete but I would like an axe

AK, preferably Russian or Ukrainian made with a folding wire stock. Sig P226 with tritium sights and a hogue grip would be nice. For edged tools... Ontario RAT-7 and TOPS Baghdad Bullet for back up. From there I'd get a MOLLE vest from Eagle Industries and fit it for 7.62mm (four spare mags), as well as 9mm (six spare mags), drop leg holster for the Sig and three point sling for the AK. 5.11 pants either tundra green or coyote brown and soft shell jacket black or dark grey, Kayland boots. Then on a Surefire hand light would come in handy, GPS, Watch, lighter, piece of flint and steel, camel pack 2.0L... I think that will do it. Oh and a Toyota Hilux Diesel, damn things the second most durable noun on the face of the earth second only to hydrogen. And If I may have the means in which to call upon and accurately direct the "Rods from God"

id use a tank, espically if they made the same sound that soliders in goldeneye made when you ran over them with one. and seeing as there are army, coast guard, navy and marine corp bases within driving distance from my house i would have access to one.

A rather large pit trap with large spikes at the bottom. If them Zombies don't smash their legs on the way down, they'll get shish-kebabed. Plus Zombies don't climb - so a few lazily thrown grenades should finish any survivors.

Semi-automatic rifle, M1 Garand or some equivalent.

Crossbow for sniping, 9mm pistol for when a zombie grabs me. Attach muzzle to face and pull the trigger.

All in all though, I wouldn't fight the zombies unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm nowhere near peak physical condition, and psychologically I'm fairly liable to break under pressure. Best weapon: stealth and common goddamn sense.

Body armor can be useful, but it'd only slow me down. Again, fighting is not your main course of action. I'd wear tight-fitting clothes, comfortable shoes, short hair and nothing else save a few ammo pouches, holsters, and a backpack with supplies.

Also, grenades are pretty much worthless if you're dealing with "classic" zombies; destroying the brain is the only way to kill a zombie. Grenades kill mainly by shrapnel, and the chance of a zombie's skull being penetrated by a shard is pretty slim. Sure, it can maim and cripple them, but why should you have to waste time finishing them off?

If I did have to fight, though, I'd do so to the tunes of "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash, "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked" by Cage The Elephant or "Prophecy" by Judas Priest.
