No flame wars accepted.
Didn't see any other threads like this.

What were you doing on 9/11? they say it burns into your brain, granted this is more towards the American (USA) users, but all Brits and others can join in if they want.

I was in 3rd grade, and i remember they didn't let us outside because there were "Bee's on the playground", which just sounds dumb. My dad pulled me out of school, and i asked him why, and he said we were attacked, and i heard it on the radio and news afterword.

I was watching everyone go batshit nuts at my school. I was too young to process what was going on, but to say the least: When I found out, I coulden't say I blamed them.

I think I was in class, but I don't really remember what happened. I was a wee little first grader. There was a rash of early dismissals, but I stayed until the end of the day because both of my parents have jobs that do not allow them to be home at all while I'm at school.

I was in.... probably 4 th or 5th grade just in class. People were running around like crazy and some school officials wouldn't let the tvs be turned on anywhere but some librarian cut the tv on to see and i saw some of the footage. I didn't think it was an attack it just looked like a plane had hit a building.

I was at work, bartending in a pub in England. We turned on all the televisions, and the people from the offices nearby came down, and we all just watched BBC News in near silence.

Going to school (sophomore year of high school). Watched the news early in the morning before leaving, didn't really process anything until the European History teacher started talking about it.

Going to school in first grade. I went down the ramp that went to the gym and saw a TV with the towers on it, and my class was told what happened. I didn't have strong feelings or vivid memories of it out of a mixture of cool-headedness with disasters and being 7.

I was in school, I don't really remember much about it, I think I was about 11 or so... I just remember getting home and Mum saying that something awful had happened in America, then I saw it on the news later that day.

I remember 7/7 much more clearly, mainly because I was surfing the net in school when the BBC News website started screaming that the Tube network had been hit...
