Well, during the event, I was crying because one of my best friends just moved away to America that morning. That was, of course before I learned about the whole fiasco that same day, when I was actually pretty shocked. Being a second grader however, I was a little bit too thankful for it when my best friend couldn't get into America from the border and had to stay for another week.

i was in the 7th grade, I remember being told before I got on the bus but didnt really process it till later in class when we watched the tv. My most vivid memory is at football practice when the coach had us do a moment of silence for all the people lost on the day.

I was in 8th grade. I was in the middle of my 3rd period history class when our teacher came in and said "Two planes have hit the World Trade Center towers, and a few minutes ago, both towers collapsed." I remember being speechless, thinking "How am I supposed to react to this?" Also wondering about a friend of mine who was in england for a trip, and he didn't come back until a month later.

I was working at Disney in Florida when it happened. I think it was only the 2nd time in its history that the parks closed.

I was at school, having a crappy day.

I mean, sure, I only had a couple classes today, but it was still a bad day.

Why, did something happen?

I didn't even know about it until after lunch.

I remember I was in 8th grade and in science class (which was right after lunch). The intercom turned on. They told the teachers to turn on the tvs. I remember seeing a building on fire and was trying to figure out what was going on. Then the tv explained that the planes had slammed into the twin towers. That entire classtime, we watched the tv and we watched it during the entire next class (which was the last class of the day).

I was told that at the highschool in my town, the news came on and all the students were freaking out. There is an air force base in the town next to us and everyone was so worried that the base was going to be targeted. Students were calling their parents that worked on the base and the teachers had to turn the news off which made things worse.

I was taking my Sophomore ISTEP exams when the supervisor started acting weird after another faculty member came in and whispered to him. When we Sophomores got out of exams we went to class--to total chaos.

They didn't close the schools but we didn't have class. We just watched the news.

There was a kid in my class whose dad worked at the Pentagon. When the Principal came for him, the kid completely fell apart.
