First it was Link when I was younger but then I was pretty into Ratchet & Clank when I got my PS2.
Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot. I never liked Sonic and I didn't have any Nintendo consoles so Spyro and Crash was about it. Oh and Croc.
Megaman.
Its one of those series that leave an impression. I normally say Zelda is the best kids series, but I bought X8 yesterday.
The nostalgia was comparable to sledgehammer to the face. Megaman was always just so awesome. its like his suit was designed to get stuck in your head.And then you this new zero dude and "Axl" (jesus christ how long has it been since I played these little wonders of gaming? TWO new protagonists? wha?)
I remember playing Legends, 7, and at least one of the NES games. Seeing the modern day version of my favorite Robot Shoot stuff was...

Link was my video game hero. He's sort of the model of man that I was always raised to aspire to. Cool, confident, heroic, strong, intelligent.
